Carolina Running Game (1 Viewer)

Anyone get to see the Carolina game. Is D. Williams now the guy down there. D. Foster #'2 look pretty bad. Wondering if this could be a chance to pounce on Foster owners. Or is it time to try and sell Williams.

If today was any indication, Foster's days are numbered (and I'm a Foster owner that doesn't have Williams). Not only did Williams look like the much sharper runner, he was in a lot in crunch time, which indicates the coaches have confidence in him, which is another nail in the Foster owner's coffins.

Williams seemed to have a bit more athleticism. I was a bit miffed watching the game because it didn't seem like Foster was doing anything wrong, but the coach kept switching in Williams and it seemed like he was a new toy Fox wanted to play with. Wasn't a bad move, but for fantasy this looks hazy. I thought Fox was a veteran guy. However, in OT and near the end of the game when it was tight, he went to Williams.

Williams preformance today has to be scaring the hell out of Foster owners. We've seen Foster destroy defenses before, so this may be one of those cases when it just seems like the holes open up for the other guy everytime while your guy sees nothing and defensive lineman in the backfield.

So does it appear it turns into a full blown RBBC in Carolina? Or has foster lost the trust of fox and is now really the 2nd rb even though he is still starting. Has anyone been offereing or getting trade offers for Williams or Foster and if so how low is fosters value and how high is williams.

Thanks for the info

The Charlotte Observer reports that Deshaun Foster will remain the Panthers' No. 1 RB despite the difference in production between Foster and backup RB DeAngelo Williams, according to head coach John Fox. "DeShaun Foster is still our starting tailback," Fox said. "We feel good about all our running backs, in particular DeShaun and DeAngelo. Really, each game takes on its own personality and (DeAngelo) was making some plays, but so was DeShaun."

I'm hoping Foster has a big game or two and the Deangelo owner loses interest so I can snag him before Foster goes down.

Given that all who drafted Foster including myself knew of a youngster over his shoulder its not surprising. The nice part is though that the coach came out and said he is still #1. Hopefully it is motivating for him vs a negative.

Where exactly were the plays DeShaun was making?

Price to pay for willaims? or what to expect in a trade for foster? think now is a prime opportunity to pounce or even sell. What are some opinions

Between TO being out for a few weeks and Foster at best a RBBC, my team is hurting. I may have to start Barlow. Ouch.

Foster's longest run was 5 yards. He did have a nice special teams tackle, though. :loco:

I have Rudi and S. Jax as my regular starters. I picked up Foster thinking he would be a solid bye week backup. Now I'm ####ed with Cincy's bye coming up in week 5. Somebody in my league just dropped Gado. Should I pick him up or just hold on for now? I'd have to drop Foster if I did.

WHew just outright dropping foster is tough. I don't know what kind of league you are in but I would wait at least one more week before I drop him. Remember Williams didn't touch the ball week one. Hope that it returns to something like that although unlikely.

whoa! yea you are ############ed alright!... better get Gado ASAPnaw, some shark probably already beat you to it :pics:

Like so many teams, one week one guy will get more, one week the other. I think DeAngelo is clearly more elusive and more or a threat for the big play, but DeShauns experience would make him more of an everydown back, for the same reason Davis was in there when the roles were reversed.

The RBBC is the flavor of the NFL. Other than LJ, LT (Turners getting a lot of touches), SA, Rudi, Edge, Caddy, Dunn (Norwood will see more as the season goes), Gore, and a couple of others, the league is a RBBC league.

That's what I would like to know. I hope this game gets replayed because I would really like to see how each looked. I'm betting DWill is the unquestioned starter by week 5. DeShaun sucks. HE's had what, 3-4 good games his career?
