And for sure, the current situation with backup and all has to be in consideration for this. So it's not exactly a "when will he be ready?" question. It's a when will he be ready given the team has Foles question.

And for what it's worth, I have a close friend that knows a lot about football, and he thinks it's closer to 30%. But he's also a huge Eagles fan and I think he's playing the "don't jinx us" thing. But I thought it was interesting.

I would vote for 50/50. I think the team would like to take it slow with him but no way Carson doesn’t want to be out there as soon as possible. The guy is a gamer.

As for the team it makes sense just to start Foles until the team loses a game, and then fire up Wentz. Nothing to lose that way but a whole lot to lose for the future if Wentz comes back too quickly and gets hurt again.

I think 95%, but since that wasn't an option, I went with 90%.

Only a setback will keep Wentz off the field in Week 1.

Jimmy Kempski seems extremely optimistic based on his history covering the Eagles:

In my now sixth year covering the team, the only comparison I can make with Wentz is Sam Bradford, who the Eagles acquired during the 2015 offseason after he tore an ACL during the 2014 preseason with the Rams. Like Wentz, Bradford tore the ACL in his left knee.

Here's what I wrote about Bradford way back on June 1, 2015:
Bradford barely moved his feet during his reps. He had deliberate movements, whereas the other quarterbacks had much more natural-looking footwork. Any casual observer could clearly see a difference. He's slightly more mobile than a JUGS machine right now. We'll see if that changes as the summer progresses.

Wentz was far more mobile in practice on Tuesday than Bradford was in June of 2015, despite having roughly four fewer months to recover. If you'll recall, Bradford played in preseason games, and of course was ready for Week 1 of the regular season. Pencil in Wentz for Week 1.

I have no idea how reputable Pro Football Doc is but he claims to be a sports medical analyst. Here's his thoughts based solely on the OTA video:

As we analyze some of the limited video, he does move well but he never fully extends his knee, does not fully transfer weight or step into throws. He also occasionally crow hops before throws, as shown in multiple videos here.

Of course, running and cutting is the other part of his game.We have said from the beginning that a Week One return as a pocket passer is possible/probable but that Wentz will not be his usual self and a running threat until the middle of (or even late in) the season.

Wentz looks great. He is on track, but he is far from there yet.

As an Eagles fan, I agreed with Joe's buddy and voted 30%.  I think having the SB MVP as the backup will make it easier to give Wentz more time than they might otherwise if the back up was Nate Sudfeld.  However, should the Eagles deal Foles as we get into training camp, that % will rise.

Tell Wood to chill out. Wentz will be back Week 1.

If they didn't play the falcons week 1 I'd almost bet on him making his debut against the Titans in week 4. But I think he'll want to play that game.

I'll take 500% better chance than Andrew Luck starting week 1. Is there a prop bet on the internet? I'd be very curious to see who the real sharps think is more likely to start week 1.
