We are aware that some leagues experienced difficulty in accessing the web site on Sunday (10/15/06). While every effort was made to prepare for a trouble-free week of fantasy football, an issue with the week 5 statistics presented itself on Sunday morning, which created a need to run a corrective process prior to starting the week 6 games. The duration of the corrective process affected some league’s access to the site at the start of this week’s games. I’m sorry if your league was affected by this situation. If you are completely dissatisfied with our web site, I will extend the MONEY BACK GUARANTEE which I’ve copy/pasted below from the site by five weeks for your league. If by the end of week 9 you are still unsatisfied, your request for a complete refund per the Money Back Guarantee will be processed. Wrong. They allow you to set it up to subtract any % of the players salary.' date='Oct 16 2006, 06:33 AM' post='5729225']a) when you cut a player in our league, you can keep 50% of his salary for your waiver budget. (i.e., cut a $12 player and keep $6 for your cap). MFL won't support this.
We use BB and then FCFS and the Accounting records are kept for both. Also, we use both Blind Bidding and First Come First Serve waivers, yet MFL only charges the BBs against the cap. (We have to manually deduct the FCFS waivers from everyone's budget.)
Yes they do. You can deduct for number of INT+TD's thrown and for the length.b) we deduct an additional 2 points for INTs that are returned for TDs. MFL can't seem to calculate this.
Looks like they listened to you on most of them.c) we have emailed them and their response is just, "Thanks for the suggestions."![]()
Sorry, but it's quite correct -- and I'll be happy to provide the email from the MFL staffer, confirming that their system is incompatible with our needs. And you did not refute my claim that MFL doesn't charge FCFS waivers against the cap, nor did you refute my claim that MFL can't support eBay-style bidding.that's not a correct statementa) when you cut a player in our league, you can keep 50% of his salary for your waiver budget. Percent Of Player's Salary That Should Be Charged To Franchise Owner When Player Is Dropped: ____ %
As has been explained before, this option will "charge" a fee to an owner, but it does not apply that fee to the salary cap.Example:Percent Of Player's Salary That Should Be Charged To Franchise Owner When Player Is Dropped: ____ %This is one of the options for setting up a league.' date='Oct 16 2006, 07:12 PM' post='5735047']

This option is available in the salary cap settings. If your cap is $50 and you make a drop of a $12 player your cap will then be $56. If you then bid on a guy for $5, your cap will be $51. All you have to do is make the amount the player is won in auction his "salary". This is done by just one click of the button in the setup.I made a site real quick. Tell me if this is correct.' date='Oct 16 2006, 10:50 PM' post='5736878']

Let's say I have a $50 budget and I want to drop a $12 player and buy another player for $5. My budget SHOULD then be $51 (50+(12*.5)-5), right? But instead, MFL will list my budget as $45 (50-5), or maybe even some other wacky number. Then, in a totally separate part of the site (Franchise->Salary Adjustments), it will list the $6.
MFL is incapable of combining the 'salaray adjustments' with your waiver budget!!!
Furthermore, FCFS waivers are tracked in another completely separate part of the site!! (Franchise->Accounting). Again, MFL is incapable of incorporating these two elements.
I don't think this will factor FCFS waivers into the salary cap (it seems to treat them separately), nor do I think it can factor the bonus $5 for weekly losers. :(ETA: I did this before I saw your bet. im just trying to see what the fuss is about CBS. Not trying to persuade one way or the other.![]()
This can be done. If the standard FCFS value of the player has a set price, say $2, this can be set as a salary. All you have to do is set it up so the value the player is picked up as is his salary. As far as the $5 bonus you should be able to add a +5 in the debt column for a loss in the set up. This I am not sure about, because you would have to run the league for at least a week to get results. I am also not sure if this one is kept in the salary part or just accounting.' date='Oct 17 2006, 06:58 AM' post='5737555']

I got the exact same response word for word. I did not request a refund - what does that mean - then we're out a hosting site for the rest of the year? Not doing that. What I don't like is that they're making it sound as though it's a week 6-only issue when in fact it's been 3 out of 6 weeks.I mentioned earlier in this thread that I sent a complaining email yesterday to CBS demanding an explanation of what was going on with their site. Today, I received the following response, which I have to say appaers to be a reasonable response/offer to the situation. Based on this response and the fact that we've used CBS for a number of years and have been, for the most part, very satisified, I think we'll be sticking with them for a while longer.
