Anybody starting Benson this week against Houston? With AD on bye, I am thinking that he may be a good play this weekend.

count me in. i had perry and just dropped him. i wouldn't expect a 100 yd performance yet but should be good for 15-20 carries. i have a feeling cincy might be in this game, for once....

I'm starting him, I also have Adrian Peterson. I think he may put his name back on the fantasy map this week.

Yes I am. Not because I believe in him so much as I have no other options. BUT, I do feel pretty good about his chances against Houston after seeing him run well against Pitt.

I'm projecting 80 and a TD.

With Forte on bye and Bush out I am starting Benson over Edge against the Panthers. If the Lions can actually do some damage on the ground then the Bengals have a good chance.

75 yards and the off chance of a short TD

It comes down to options. If you have better options, use them.

I'm going to wait and see how the rest of the week pans out with my other options before plugging him in.

When all is said and done, I'll plug in Kevin Faulk before Benson (in PPR) but will play Benson over Fred Taylor.

Yes. Then its back on the shelf for 5 weeks: Jac, BYE, Phi, @ Pit, Bal.

Then I bring him back out for the FF playoffs Wk 14 @ Ind and Week 16 @ Cle.

I think he makes a great play this week. The record doesnt show it, but Cincy has actually been competitive..well Ill say the game has been close in the 2nd half...in every single game they have played.

Might even be a few burnt orange #32 jerseys in the crowd as a ton of Texas exes live in Houston.

Also need to plug in Benson with AD on bye and other flex options out.

All aboard the Benson "Tug Boat" can't call it a bandwagon just yet.

I'm plugging him in 2 DEEP leagues this week, based on bye issues.

57 yards rushing

3 catches for 16 recieving

1 in 4 chance he finds paydirt.

Close and competive are two different things. I've only watched highlights of their games but remember them palying catch up and falling short as opposed to playing a competive game.Their offence is pretty ... unimpressive so far this year despite the talent they have. PTS 14.0 (31st) YDS 225.6 (32nd) PASS YDS 151.7 (29th) RUSH YDS 73.9 (31st)

It's him or Kolby Smith...

Opposite F.Gore my choices are:

Benson

K.Smith

Rudi Johnson

R.Bush

I'm rolling the dice with Benson.....

With Bush out I have to pray that Westbrook goes and then decide between Mewelde Moore and Benson. If FWP practices all week I'll probably lean towards Benson. If this game were in Cinci I definitely would start him, but Houston can play pretty tough at home. Not pretty no matter what. I thought he did run with some energy last week - so there is a chance he can do some damage.

I have Benson, Kevin Smith and Deuce and I'm trying to decide between the three of them which to start at my FLEX. If they can keep the game close, Benson should have a good day, but Im not confident they can keep the game close

Again..every game has been close. Not competetitive as someone split hairs about above, but close. They were down 7 in the 4th quarter to Pitt. Lost to NYG in overtime. NYJets never pulled away.Cedric Benson this week:18 for 80 with a score. 2 recs 15 yards.

I might not have a choice. I will have to plug him in at the #2 spot if SJax is out and I have a feeling he is going to be out. Benson ran hard against Pitt and has a chance to get 50-60 yds rushing with 2-3 catches and a TD. I hope it doesn't come down to me starting Benson but SJax playing seems to be a long shot to me.

I dropped Sammy Morris for Cedric Benson this evening, and I am seriously considering starting him over Michael Turner this week. Someone talk me off the ledge! :)

Turner has a decent matchup. No way am I starting Benson over Turner this week (I also have both).

Turner hasn't fared well against the 10th, 14th, and 6th ranked rush defenses. Philadelphia is ranked 9th against the run and generally plays better at home. On the other hand, Houston ranks 22nd against the run and 31st in rushing scores allowed.

Philly is NOT a decent matchup. With that said, I have to choose between Benson, Green-Ellis or Edge this week. I'm leaning towards Benson but Green-Ellis is looking better and better every day.

Cedric over Turner would be tough to do, but its not ridiculous. Speaks to Cedric's upside that he's in the conversation with Turner.Get on board folks. Cedric makes a very nice play this weekend. 90 total with a TD.

Part of pay content, but not enough that I think JB or the guys would mind:
The Eagles were shattered for 44/203/1 on the ground by Washington 2 weeks before their bye, and didn't do a whole lot better vs. San Francisco in week 6, allowing 27/131/1 to Frank Gore and company (a 4.9 yards per carry average). To date, Philly is 9th in the NFL averaging 91.5 rushing yards given up per contest, with 3 rushing TDs allowed - but 2 of those 3 scores came in their last 2 games and they've handed over 334 rushing yards in 2 games. It's fair to say that the Eagles entered their bye week with serious issues in this phase of the game.
(As an aside, in my view the passing and rushing matchups are worth the price of a subscription alone.)Philly isn't a weak defense, but the ATL rushing game is one of the best in the league, and Philly has been ugly in their last two outings against the rush.

Otis, I did see that. I guess it boils down to which is better a weak rushing attack vs. a weak rushing defense, or a strong rushing attack against a good rush defense. I wish I'd seen Turner post decent numbers against at least one average to good rush defense, it would make it easier to stick with him this week.
