Help us, Joebi-Wan Brynobi, you're our only ho
Ah, good point. I've never bought a phone offered by Ting, Fi, or Mint. Ebay is usually where I get my referbs or used phones. Have been doing this for years with RARE issues (when I have had an issue, it has been resolved with a return/replacement phone). It's a pretty mature and well established market/practice.Yes, you can use about whatever you have really, but Mint doesn't sell any Apple products. I took the question "do they have" to be "do they sell" but maybe that was incorrect. You can use Apple, Google, Samsung, etc. on MVNO's like Ting or Mint. I've got Mint and have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. My wife and kids all have iPhones (from 11's to 15 pro max). no issue with the phone compatibility. I think Mint is less reliable for data than AT&T. I never used data with Ting but came to Mint from Ting but via Google Fi first, and again no issues on Fi with any of those phone brands.Definite no on Apple that I saw. Some Google and Samsung.Do they have the Samsung and Apple phones or no?Mint: you can bring your own unlocked phone (I did) or buy one from them. The choices of phones they sell is pretty limited.
Porting a number from one carrier to another is easy no matter the carrier.
I suppose Mint (and other "budget" carriers) has some support/help but part of them being cheaper is not having a physical presence that you can walk into for help.
