I normally never fall into the trap of selling low, but an offer came by me for 85 that I think is pretty good. Now, I don't want to get flamed for posting an ACF thread here in the shark pool, so I thought I would reach out to other Johnson owners to see what kind of offers, if any, you are getting.

Most anyone that drafted CJ, spent a 1st or a 2nd round pick on him with expectations of him becoming your #1 wr. Needless to say, his numbers aren't worthy of either of those distinctions right now. The fact is, TJ Housyourmama is a more consistent producer. I keep thinking Chad will turn it around, but weeks are running short and he is quickly becoming a liability to fantasy teams.

Other Chad owners - are you still holding on to the hope that he will turn things around? If you have traded for or traded away Chad recently, what did you get/give up?

Not sure this helps you since it was a 2-2 deal but I just traded Thomas Jones and Andre Johnson for Chester Taylor and Chad Johnson. I like Chester's schedule down the stretch and do not need to worry about getting bench or losing carries to another back plus I hope Chad turns it around. Maybe a fresh start will jump start him.
 
I have the opportunity to get Roy Williams straight up for Chad in a non-keeper, non PPR league and think I have to pull the trigger.

 
I just acquired CJ before Sunday's game. Redraft League. I traded away Philip Rivers and Derrick Mason for Damon Huard and Chad Johnson.

Depends on dynasty or redraft. I think the offers will be very different in each league.
 
I was just offered (Redraft league), Chad Johnson and Wali Lundy for Carson Palmer and Reggie Brown.

Brown has been more productive to date than Chad, plus there seems to be more going forward passing yardage coming out of Philly this year than Cincy.

Still mulling it over, but I think I'll pass.

 
Redraft. Two weeks ago I traded CJ and Caddy for Norwood and D Jax. I'm not sorry about it yet, but expect to regret it before the end of the year.

 
Keep 8 league,

last week traded CJ,MBIII,5th rd pick for S.Alexander and A.Bryant

from what it looks like, his value is all across the board.

 
I own him in a keeper league and I don't see trading him....maybe for S. Smith or Boldin or Fitz.....It would take a lot to get him off my roster.....Redraft I would be more willing to trade him but I still think that 85 is going to turn it around. He will have a strong second half!

 
roughly 3 weeks ago, traded chad straight up for Julius jones straight up. good luck getting that much for him now.

this of course was before vick had his 2 game blow-up. regardless, im still waiting for chad to do something and am probably stubborn enough to keep him in my lineup for the rest of the way. it really sucked watching javon walker score 40+ on my bench.

I have sent feelers to the CJ owner in a 6 player keeper league whether he is interested in Maroney straight up for him.

Typically it makes no sense to give up on Maroney but I have Shaun Alex, Carson P, Harrison and Frank Gore and I can keep all of them + CJ by letting Maroney go. If I keep Maroney next year, then I am forced to do the following:

Keep Shaun Alex, Maroney and one out of Palmer or Harrison and let Gore go (since I am only allowed to keep 3 out of the 1st 6 players I drafted this year AND I can only keep 2 RBs)

So I prefer keeping Shaun A, Gore (2 RB restriction), Palmer, Harrison and CJ (and Winslow too as my 6 player keepers) and let Maroney go INSTEAD OF keeping Shaun A, Palmer or Harrison, Maroney and let Gore walk

i love chad and him getting open is not the problem. He's been open. He was open several times deep on sunday but Palmer just misses him this year. Palmer is less than a year back from ACL surgery, there's a reason nobody does that, until this year at least. And there's a reason Culpepper is being held out and Palmer is still playing, albeit hurt. The thing is this, Palmer is getting no protection so he doesnt have time to throw deep, which everyone knows is Chad's MO. I really don't see it getting any better this year. I have him in my keeper league and he's staying unless I get offered TO or Holt or someone like that for him. But looking at him as a buy low, im' just not sure about the Bengals this year

 
Chad is catching 50% of passes thrown his way while TJ is at 66%. This isn't Chambers we're talking about, CJ isn't normally this terrible-is he dropping catchable passes or are they errant throws?

To me it simply seems a case of Palmer having other options to throw to.

 
Traded for CJ b4 game time Sunday. Gave M.Jones, B.Edwards and Duece Mac, ( he ownes Reggie B), for him. 10 team Redraft. We start 4Wr's. So now my WR's are CJ, S.Smith, Colston and Mushmad with Furry for depth. :banned:
