As a die hard Jet fan I respect MAngini's loyalty to Chad but the time has come - the season is slipping away and its time to see what Clemmons can do. At worst you find out if you need to select a QB with the high 1st rd pick the JEts are on their way to landing. At best, he could breathe new life into the season.

From a fantasy perspective - Coles, Cotch and TJ are being wasted by Penny - if KC gets the call I can see all 3 value going up.

If Mangini doesnt make the switch he is just being stubborn and is hurting the team IMO.

did you watch the game? After a turnstyle performance by his OL - he looked very good and led a 4th quarter comeback that was only foiled by two J MAc drops in his hands! He's a 2nd yr QB and will have his bad moments but the kid has potential and cant do any worse than Chad now.

Didnt he almost win the game for them if it wasnt for dropped passes?I know of one that was dropped in the endzone at the end by McCareins.Chad cant throw the ball more than 25 yards down the field.They need to stretch the field and Clemens can do that.

I know his stats weren't great, but considering that his first NFL start came against the Baltimore defense, I thought he showed pretty well.

I don't think Mangini is ready to turn the keys over to Clemens, but if Chad has a bad 1st half next week at home versus Philly, it wouldn't shock me to see Clemens come out in the 2nd half.

Dont give me that crap - if you were a JEt fan you would not appreciate his balloon balls that get his WRs killed and horriable picks that are not supposed to happen to a QB with his smarts. If Chad was on a team with a fantastic Def he could still be a great #1 - JEts dont have that luxury. I love Chad but the guy has had his run as the teams QB - took them farther than I thought possible but IMO the move needs to be made to give life to the team and find out if the team has its QB of the future or not.

I suppose I can understand that logic, but Jets fans always seem ready to throw Pennington under the bus even when he has a good game (and the rest of his team is miserable). Of the Jets games I've watched with him in (and I love watching the guy play) he seems to be the second biggest playmaker on that offense (behind Coles). I think the Jets have a better chance of winning with him in the game rather than Clemens.Clemens won't get you any further than Chad will until that defense is converted back to a 4-3.

Clemens >>>> Pennington right now. Chad makes some of the worst throws I've ever seen in games. He essentially threw a jump ball into double coverage twice today, one for a pick and one where Coles made an incredible play. But he looks a lot worse than Clemens, who would have tied up the Baltimore game except for two (or maybe even 3) dropped TD passes on the last drive.

It's only a matter of time before Chad gets pulled...
