Only two QBs since 1995 have started at least 60 games for one team, and then played against that same team the following year. Name them.
Bledsoe
Guess it wasn't too hard; those were the two.McNair?
Culpepper, Carr and Chandler had chances to do this, but neither was the QB for his team when his new team faced his old team. The other guys to switch, including Kordell, went to teams that didn't play the former team that year.Looks like Culpepper was already injured when the Dolphins played Minn. in 2006.My other guess (for whatever reason) was Kordell Stewart.
It's an interesting dynamic -- Pennington knows the Jets defense very well. The Jets defense knows Pennington very well. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets had three or four interceptions, or if Pennington threw for over 300 yards. Or both.should be an interesting game. Jets fans down here in SoFla are concerned that Pennington is going to spoil the Favre coming out party.
I doubt both scenarios. I see this as Miami is going to run and manage the clock down the field, and Favre is going to rip some long ones. If Miami's corners are up to the task, I see a long day for Favre. If they are not, Miami will be exactly where they do not want to be this year: Down by 10 or more with Pennington dinking and dunking down the field. I also see pennington running for about 40 yards in this game for some reason. It's an interesting dynamic -- Pennington knows the Jets defense very well. The Jets defense knows Pennington very well. Don't forget about the heat factor. As a Jet's fan who lived in South Fla for a decade, I'm worried the Fins will run on the Jets and keep the Jets D on the field all game. A 1 o'clock game in early September is hot, humid and just plain unbearable. It may sapp all the energy from the D that could be on the field all day.I doubt both scenarios. Neil Odonnell. and Vinny?Only two QBs since 1995 have started at least 60 games for one team, and then played against that same team the following year. Name them.
What I want to watch is Miami's D v Favre. Pennington knows the Jets offense, and they will likely be running a water down version off it the first few games which could give them a big edge. We could easily see 3 picks from Bret. It's an interesting dynamic -- Pennington knows the Jets defense very well. The Jets defense knows Pennington very well.
