I guess he feels there is only room for one star receiver on the team. OK, let's not worry about improving the team if it gets in the way of Chambers feelings.

Ummm...Im sure there are plenty of people who do not want him on their team...and they are doing so thinking of the team.TO is not a team guy...he has destroyed locker rooms...what makes anyone think he will change.Did he "improve" the Eagles? Or take a team that went to the Super Bowl and was a favorite to repeat in the NFC and turn them into a 6-10 team.

Not sure of the source or context of the statement, but is it really inconceivable that Chambers (or anyone) wouldn't want his personality on their team? When Zach Thomas said he wouldn't want Ricky Williams back, was that because there was only room for one star on the team?I don't remember the source or exact quote, but when Dom Capers was asked about trying to acquire TO, he said something like "he single-handedly dismantled a perennial contender, why would you wish that on me?" Now if a losing coach says that about the most talented WR in the league (arguably), why is it ego if a player says that?

Can you verify that Chris Chambers' comments were indeed selfish and had no bearing on the fact that TO has been an emormous problem wherever he has played? Come on, guy.

Here's the article . . .A Chris Chambers/Terrell Owens combo at receiver might seem tantalizing to Dolfans. But count Chambers among those opposed to it.Chambers believes adding Owens would be a bad idea and hurt chemistry. ''If you have another star receiver, it would cause more controversy,'' he said. `` Marty Booker is an excellent receiver . . . We have [tight end] Randy McMichael. We already have the pieces here. I don't see a reason to go get a big-time receiver.''Miami is among several teams that intrigue Owens, who reportedly has drawn interest from the Jets and Tampa. It would be surprising if any team trades for him before he's released by Philadelphia in March.Jason Taylor previously said he opposes adding Owens. Said DL Vonnie Holliday: ``You look at our receiver corps -- there's nothing wrong with it. Chris Chambers is a Pro Bowler, and Marty Booker could be.''Before bringing back Ricky Williams, Nick Saban consulted team leaders, who were supportive. If Saban does the same with Owens, he will encounter some resistance.

that's the one, I understand not wanting TO for his personality but not wanting another star receiver sounds conceited. We can trade fro Marvin Harrison, no thanks we are already filled at WR.

maybe chambers is a capologist in his free time, and realizes that adding more recievers to the team, especially one as expensive as t.o., would destroy the overall team budget?

Problem is none of us have any idea of the context in which he gave that quote. What was the actual question posed to him...did he also talk of the attitude issues...

Maybe Miami should think about getting a QB and an offensive line first before adding another offensive weapon.
