**Chargers at Giants**(+6.5, 44) 1:00 Jaxson Dart's 1st Start (1 Viewer)

I am excited about getting to see Jaxson Dart get his first NFL start, I hope he does well even if they lose the game and he improves the offense over all
He will also have a rookie RB lining up behind him.

The Schoen/Daboll countdown is on The Big Apple
I think Dart plays well in his first start
But LA should control both sides of the ball
And grind out a win...

Team Formerly From San Diego- 27

Team From New York That Plays In New Jersey- 19

Chargers need to fix the problems they've been having in the secondary letting guys repeatedly get behind the coverage. They've been lucky the last 3 weeks that QBs haven't been able to make the throws. They should have safety Molden back this week, hopefully he makes a difference. Otherwise I imagine Neighbors will be running free back there once or twice.

Chargers offensive line is in bad shape. Could be a problem if the defensive front four performs like people think they should. I'm hoping the Chargers are already planning on short routes to get the ball out quick, otherwise this could be a tough game for Herbert. Similarly, the run blocking is bad, I know the Chargers would like to run it, I just don't know that they'll have a ton of success unless Hampton can get himself to the second level.

This screams blowout to me. I don't think Dart is ready at all, and the Chargers are a rough 1st game. I do think Skattebo could have some success, particularly as a pass catcher, but I have some concerns this is a 31-10 type game. I think if NY was absolutely done with Russ, this should have been a Winston start.

I think the Charges do just about whatever they want on offense. Giants pass rush is scary, but they can't cover, so expect a lot of quick hitters to McConkey (a prime buy low) and Allen. I think Hampton could have some success as well, especially late as I think the Giants D wears down as the Chargers dink and dunk their way to long drives, while the Giants have a lot of 3 and outs.

Chargers cover.

Since 2015, rookie 1st round quarterbacks making their first start in-season (any time after Week 1) are 6-12, but 8-10 ATS

Unders paid off in 12 (2/3) of these games, with 6 of the last 7 going under.

Home dogs are just 1-5, but 4-2 ATS. Hammer the Dart!

Behold! Your stat of the day!

Chargers might win but I think it will be much closer than many expect
Bolts 21...Giants 17
Early 1:00 start, flying cross country, might not matter but I think this game could surprise

LOL. Somebody flew East, didn't want to go over the middle (Ladd's inexcusable drop), didn't want to tackle Skattebo, and then parted the sea for Dart.

Better buckle those chin straps before the ****ing Giants take you to the woodshed and laugh the whole time.

At least Hampton came to play with a heads up and effort block so that Justin Herbert could pick up a 3rd and 18 on the ground.

Chargers so far look like they did no prep work for Dart. They seemed stunned he was running the ball ... there's no spy on him either.

Giants view Dart in the same way running as Josh Allen, and Daboll is going to give him the green light to take off if he sees man coverage.

Maybe Harbaugh will try actually running the ball some? Yes, I have Hampton…but also Herbert.

2 rushing plays in the 1st quarter. Herbert has thrown it 11 times (run once on a passing play/scramble…and been sacked…so 13 passing plays to 2 runs)

Ugh procedural penalties... Dart actually had a lot of work with the 1st team in preseason so you hope there won't be too many.

Not a doctor but the Nabers injury looks severe at first glance, pray for the best for him
That really sucks and sets the franchise back plus Dart, that's awful for the FF community to watch
You don't want to see anyone go down but someone of his talent, that's a terrible injury for the entire NFL fan base

Really hurts my team especially this week. 3-0 and high scorer and I'm playing the other 3-0 team and only 4.0 out of Malik Nabers because of this early injury. Hope it's just a sprain and he can play again this year.

Dart isn't going to last long running like this.
... the neurological spotter removing him made no sense. Dart hopped up and then he saw the flag negated the play and he leaned over pissed with his Oline consoling him. The spotter throught that was a concussion symptom?

lol Conklin picked his own man and led to a Giants INT
What's happening with McConkey? He's been an absolute bust this season.
A lot more target competition. Keenan Allen has been Herbert's main man, plus QJ actually being competent has hindered McConkey's target share. Don't forget Hampton and Gadsen II have racked up targets too. As Herbert has lost more and more linemen, he can't go through progressions to get to McConkey. I get the feeling most plays his first read is Allen right now...

I mean, not only has the line been beat up but McConkey has dropped 2 passes and was picked/fell on another, leading to an INT. They have used him this game to poor results and one of the Giants best CBs is on him also. Like I said earlier, the ecosystem is much more crowded now.

hmmm Devin Singletary is getting this 4th quarter drive. They were kinda alternating a bit but you wonder if this is due to Skattebo just taking so much punishment.

EDIT: Skattebo back in on 1st and Goal at the 5.
