Chargers vs Patriots game thread (1 Viewer)

Playing in the most inept division in NFL history. List the top flight QBs in the AFC East in the last 18 years.

Tom Brady, Favre at the end of his career, for 1 year.

There. That's it. Done. When you get 6 wins handed to you, it's pretty easy to get the bye week.

Look at this list of gems at QB

You can disparage the Pats success all you want, but the fact is they are an amazing dynasty. I live in New England and hate them as much as you seem to, but rings are rings. Yes, the division is weak but they have pretty much dominated everyone else for the past 18 years. Rings aren’t handed out at the end of the regular season.

Denver, nyg, and Baltimore have shown that the only way to slow down the pats in the postseason is to hit Brady and press man with great tackling at the catch point.

But teams come out over and over again with a soft zone and three man rush because....well, I don't know why.

Aren’t they also like 10-1 in their first playoff game?

And they also play 8 other teams every year. It’s insane how dominate they are for such a long period of time.

Is this an attempt to say the 9 straight byes is a mirage, and the pats aren’t good and purely a result of the bad AFC east?

Because it’s looking like 8 Straight Conference championships.... double the next longest streak.

We are watching the waning years of the undisputed greatest dynasty in NFL history.

No, it's a way of saying in addition to being good, they have had the easiest road to the postseason possibly ever.

The pick of Michel is making more and more sense. With Brady not nearly as dominant anymore and Gronk at the end, the offense is likely going to go through Sony next year.

 even the NFL Network was asking whether this game would be the end of the Brady/belichick dynasty.

Gotta say, if a Charger was draped over Edelman that far in advance of the ball arriving, it would have drawn the flag.

Not that the officials are really needed for this Patriot win...

Actually I need to correct myself here.

No Charger seems capable of getting close enough to Edelman to even have the chance to commit DPI before the ball arrives.

Is it me or does the AFC only have a couple good teams?

Im tired of the patriots always dominating.

Hate that org so much.

Does Rivers’ volatile nature contribute to his teams’ terrible playoff results? I would say it does. The greatest clutch QBs are calm, cool, unflappable guys who help calm their teammates. The classic example is Joe Montana before the winning drive in SB 23: “Hey, there’s John Candy.”

Rivers is wound so tight, and his clutch results are terrible

It’s incredible.

Pats are just flat out owning the Chargers on both sides of the ball.

This Chargers D was supposed to be pretty good, right?

It’s weird to be talking about how easy the Pats have it while they are obliterating a 12-4 team by 28 at the half.
