Charles Clay (1 Viewer)

Bills OC Anthony Lynn said the team wants to get Charles Clay more involved.
"We had targets to Charles Clay last week. We missed him on one. One time the protection didn’t hold up," said Lynn. "We do have Charles in mind and we know that he’s a playmaker so we’re trying to get him the football." In the immortal words of Admiral Ackbar, it's a trap. Clay can be left on waivers.

9 targets.  3 inside the 10.  TD.  Team will be behind often.  WRs are all brand new to Tyrod.

Loving having this end of draft or WW top 10 TE.

I am starting him over Olsen this week.  Prolly overthinking it but don't care.

Charles Clay led all tight ends in Week 1 target share with 32.1 percent of the Buffalo targets.

Over his past five games dating back to last year, Clay has averaged 26.7 percent of the team targets and 16.6 points per game. He's been a top-10 scoring tight end in four of those games.

Buffalo wide receivers totaled just eight targets (29.6 percent of the team total) in Week 1, the fewest in the league.

Bills TE Charles Clay underwent knee surgery this morning. He had torn meniscus and sprained MCL per source.
I'm currently stashing Olsen for his return before the playoffs, so Clay feels droppable to me now. Some people are saying it's not out of the question that he'll be out the whole season, but that feels a little much. Going to be rolling with Engram from here on out, hoping last week was an anomaly and hoping Olsen makes a strong return for the playoffs.

Tight end has been an injury wasteland this year. Ugly ugly ugly.

Damn yeah he's out for a couple months, definitely droppable. Just traded for him and was my first week starting too lol.

Anyone have any updates, it didn't sound like they expected him to be out too long?
Original estimate was 4-6 weeks, but after last week (2 weeks) coach said he was very encouraged by progress.  So guessing at the bottom end of that range.  Missing another week or two maybe?
