The Saints have been playing a fair amount of 3-4 in their few base defensive snaps and a lot of three man fronts in the nickel (which has been often against DET and PHI). It's hard to see that changing moving forward. Smith and Grant could be decent multiple front defensive ends, but they're both little more than marginal DL2 right now.

Considering how much pressure the Saints O is putting on opposing O's to pass, their poor showings seem to run contrary to the traditinal thinking that DL's facing O's forced to pass can simply pin their ears back and rack up sacks.Grant, with his 2 tackles in 2 weeks, is my lowest scoring DL right now...and the guys in front of him aren't exactly burning it up. Mathis and White are killing me too, just not with as bad a stench as Grant.
