Charles Grant (1 Viewer)

He didn't practice today but he says he's playing. My guess is that he'll try to practice tomorrow or Friday and see how the ankle responds the following day.

AP/Yahoo!

Defensive linemen Charles Grant and Brian Young and starting linebacker Scott Shanle missed practice. So did starting center Jeff Faine, who missed the San Francisco game with a left pectoral strain.

Grant, who's been in on 27 tackles with 1.5 sacks, sprained his right ankle during the first quarter. He returned to the game, but said his ankle swelled up during the flight home that night.

Now in his sixth season in the NFL, Grant has never missed a game and expected that trend to continue.

"I'm going to play," he said. "The swelling has gone down and it's getting better and better."

Grant will continue to play, but will be limited to running downs. He doesn't have the strength in his ankle to pass rush. This was mentioned on the Point After radio show 870 am Local Saints radio station.

Good to know. Thank you.

Hmmm... I need a DL/DE in a deep 16 team dynasty. Renaldo Wynn's numbers caught my attention. Is Wynn a possible upside guy with Grant's injury? I did look around, and Grant is listed as probable already at the Saints' site. Any more inside homer stuff on how they might split snaps? TIA....
