I asked for a better member number and ***la's had recently become available. I gave him the login info so he could clean up some personal stuff a couple years ago, but I don't think he's posted anything on the account. And, Shiny was quite a loss for this community. They don't make them like him any more. Thanks, Rud. Those two are so diametrically different individuals, it was, like, blowing my mind.Wait. Bentley likes certain numbers?Bentley asked for ***la's old member number and Shick! gave it to him. Posting history is attached to member #, not names. Not to hijack this well-timed thread bump, but can somebody pm me and explain the ***la-to-bentley transition? TIA. I got confused looking through the Russian Bride Draft.
'Bob Sacamano said:"Hi. I... I know we don't really 'know' each other. But I was fortunate enough to have spent the better part of a decade interacting with your brother on the internet on a near-daily basis, and while that makes this conversation a little uncomfortable to initiate, me seem a little creepy right now, and both of us a little bit dorky, I felt the need to express to you both my sorrow for your loss and my appreciation for the time I got to spend partaking in intercourse with him. Hey, is that bend in the schlong thing genetic? You got that going on, too? Yeah, a little creepy. Sorry."I discovered last year that I actually "know" SP's brother. He lives in New Orleans and we played in the same kickball league together. We were both team captains, so we've been in a few organizational meetings together, know who each other are, etc. Since I discovered this I haven't had the chance to run into him. Not even sure what I would say when I do.RIP
My manlove for you knows know end.
Ahhh, Shiny...man, I miss you buddy. I'll never forget the two of us competing in the innagural FBG Survivor league back in 2001. We could not have been more miscast, but laughed our way through it. The Russian Bride Draft made me feel compelled to bring the funny because I knew you would too. Probably the one FBG I wanted to meet most I never did. :(Just doing some reading, and I hope all is well, peeps. Two years later and I still miss you every single day my friend. Today is gonna be a tough one.![]()

What the hell!
I have been a very infrequent visitor of late and don't recall seeing this or hearing anything about this. Going back to Ol' Yeller days I know a lot of peeps have "known" each other a long time around these parts. Terrible news.
Kind of weird thinking about how much of our lives many of us have spent on this damn site. More than 10 years for some of us.
FWIW, I stumbled on to this post trying to find out information about warning points in the FAQ pinned thread.
So you're like that parent with Alzheimers who you have to repeatedly break the same bad news to.Argh, I am an idiot. I did apparently comment in this thread way back. For the life of me, I didn't recall it. My apologies guys. I just don't visit here that often anymore and didn't remember.
wow. That's pretty incredible.Wow, worlds collide. I didn't know Charlie the younger. I used to know Charlie III, his father.Obviously I didn't know Shining Path online, but his father was a good man 20 years ago. Assume he still is. Can't imagine going through this. This thread really shocked the hell out of me, seeing the title. I assumed it was his father and then wondered how he learned to use an online message board.
Something like that. I used to be a multi daily visit member here and now...not so much. Lots of changes to colors/formats/screennames/usual suspects. Kind of hard to remember all the details and nuances of this place. I never kept the notebook. What the hell!

9/10 - best use of the word "maudlin" I've seen this monthI really shouldn't be reading this thread while drinking. I'm getting maudlin over amoeba Knieval.
I'm still bummed that I never met him in person. RIP you silly mofo.
Yeah. As was Charlie III's beard, at least back then. I don't know how many of you have met him, but that man can grow some facial hair.wow. That's pretty incredible.Wow, worlds collide. BOSWORTH, CHARLES A., (BREED), IV died unexpectedly at his Birmingham, AL home Tuesday, May 25, 2009. He was 37. Breed graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with a degree in the Classics. After college, Breed chose to continue his education and pursue his life-long love of natural science. Breed received a Masters Degree in Biochemistry, and was preparing his defense in pursuit of a PhD in bio-chemical physiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham at the time of his death. Breed was the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John F. Screen of New Orleans, and he leaves behind his fiancée, Dr. Qlan Li; his mother, Sharon Bosworth of Washington, D.C.; his father and step-mother, Charles A. and Gretchen Bosworth of New Orleans; one sister of New York; two brothers, Graham and Seth of New Orleans; and one niece and nephew. Breed, in addition to his love of science, was an ancient history and World War II buff with an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the Allied Offensive. He was also an enthusiastic sports fan and fantasy football player who enjoyed testing wits over board games and playing golf when he could find the time. He also took great pride in his outside "Stocktonesque" jump shot. Breed was exceedingly intelligent, exceedingly funny and was loved by all who knew him.
Yep. Still think of him all of the time. His birthday is this Thursday. I miss him.Feels like yesterday. Hard to believe it's been four years.
