Great day today! couldn't love hearing that we got got Marsh more!!!!!

If we can somehow land mario I'll be :banned: for a week!

Brandon Marshall’s 494 career receptions in six NFL seasons are two more than Bears all-time leader.

Walter Payton 492

Johnny Morris 356

Marty Booker 329

Curtis Conway 329

Da Coach! 319

Some midget 12

ETA: Currently Forte is on pace to break sweetness for the best WR in terms of receptions :excited:

That...is pathetic.

Can this affect the trade if he gets suspended, if Buffalo was aware of it and Chicago wasn't.

NFL receiver Marshall 'slugs' woman at Chelsea nightclub

By KIRSTAN CONLEY

The “Beast” has lived up to his nickname, a woman alleges.

NFL star wide receiver Brandon Marshall — whose list of run-ins with the law is as long as a football field — allegedly slugged the woman at a Chelsea nightclub, The Post has learned.

Marshall was at Marquee early Sunday when he got into an argument with a group of friends celebrating a birthday, law-enforcement sources said.

Around 4 a.m., birthday girl Christin Myles, 24. left an upper floor to greet a friend downstairs.

When Myles tried to get back upstairs, a bouncer told her she had to wait because there was a fight between two football players — Marshall, 27, and an unknown athlete — who were being thrown out of the club, the sources said.

She later met up with her friends, who were arguing with the NFL bad boy and the other football player outside.

Marshall — who earned his nickname with his aggressive style of play — then allegedly cold-cocked Myles in the left eye. She suffered a black eye. It wasn’t clear if he allegedly intended to strike her or one of her pals.

Myles filed a police report.

A lawyer for Marshall — who was traded by the Miami Dolphins yesterday to the Chicago Bears — told The Post that the fight did not involve Marshall or his friends.

“While attempting to leave to avoid the melee [Marshall’s wife] was struck in the face by a thrown bottle. She suffered serious injury.

While attempting to leave and take his wife to the hospital, the mayhem continued outside. Mr. Marshall is hoping to assist authorities in regards to this matter."

Police said the only report filed about that night names Marshall as a perpetrator.

Marshall’s rep declined to deny whether he threw a punch or say whether he attempted to file a police report about his wife’s injuries.

Sources said the Bears weren’t aware of the incident.

The melee came less than a year after Marshall was rushed to a Florida hospital after his wife allegedly stabbed him.

Marshall, who’s been busted at least six times, was involved in a New Year’s Eve 2006 fight in Denver that led to a teammate being fatally shot in a drive-by.

If we don't get Mario, we still have around 21mil in cap space. Go after Nicks and McNeil/Levi. Together, they will still be cheaper than Nicks. Then add Wimbley if he becomes available. :moneybag:

Not sure what type of money Nicks is wanting, but I doubt we get him. If that case, go with Grubbs, McNeil, Winston, levi. Any 2 of those guys. We need at least 2 more OL players to be more secure. Then going into draft, we can be somewhat open with our picking.

Hosting Kelvin Hayden today. Not hearing anything on the o line. Getting nervous.

Anthony Herrera

Probably means the beginning of the end for Spencer if Herrera is signed. Save 2.7 in cap space by cutting him.

Eric Weems signs 3 year deal with Bears. per Aaron Wilson Twitter. Not sure where this fits in?

I thought Weems was a KR/PR guy.

Assuming Mario's off the table now, if I'm Emery, my next target is....

According to ESPN 1500 Twin Cities' Judd Zulgad, it "sounds like" free agent Visanthe Shiancoe won't be re-signing with the Vikings.

Shiancoe is reportedly in the process of lining up visits, and wasn't a priority for the Vikings after the end of the regular season. He's no longer needed in Minnesota following the rapid emergence of Kyle Rudolph.

And it looks like the Vikes are expected to sign John Carlson

Really? You are a big believer in our o line?

Carlson signed by Vikings. Shiancoe and Davis visiting other teams. Still shocked Davis is visiting other teams after all of Lovie's knob slobbing.

Love what Emery has done so far. Keep it up. Bringing in Herrera, possibly another TE, addressing wide receiver and backup QB position so far, all the while not breaking the bank on one guy. If Super Mario doesn't come in, OT and DE left.

Eta: and two special teams guys to replace graham and hurd.

Martz isn't running the show any more and he's notorious for not caring what kind of pounding the QB takes. Also, the sack total skyrocketted once Cutler went down (26 of the 49 sacks allowed were in the 6 games w/o Cutler)I expect an uptick in pass protection based on Martz absence alone. There will be no stupid 7 step drops to start the season until they realize, once again, that they can't get away with doing it.

They have proved that they can run block, finishing 9th last year

Carimi comes back healthy and Right Tackle improves. Guards are servicable, Garza is fine at C. So outside of depth, my only real problem is Left Tackle. Now go find me one that's available so I can stop worrying about silly things like TE.

Agreed. Herrera would make me start to feel pretty good about the o-line, especially if carimi comes back and plays up to what you expect of him. Still got to address that other tackle but you're inside three look pretty solid. If Reiff or Martin somehow fall to the Bears in the first round (or they move up to get one) I wouldn't be adverse to taking him- that gives you 3 young first round picks on that line with Mike Tice at the helm and set you up well for the future. If we get Mario... man. The beauty of that is that instantly your secondary needs become less pressing. With one move you basically cover two or three positions you otherwise have to upgrade. I think you can find another WR in FA or draft him and use the rest of your draft to bring in some secondary and depth guys- but you don't have to worry about them being instant impact because you have the most ferocious pass rushing pair in the league. Man, that sounds good.
