Chick Fil-A (1 Viewer)

Atlanta United FC are also playing there. There are plans for concerts, likely conventions. Plus, advertising presence.
And many of these events may also be held on a Sunday. Just a bizarre business decision to me for both Chick-Fil-A and the stadium people.

Atlanta United has 14 home games that aren't on Sundays. The Falcons play 2 preseason games that aren't on Sundays.

The stadium will also host the SEC Championship game, the 2 Chick-Fil-A kickoff games, the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, the College Football National Championship game in 2018, and the Final Four in 2020. All of those will pack the stadium. None are on Sunday.

There's also a Garth Brooks concert on a Thursday in October that's sold out, plus who knows how many other concerts, conventions, events, etc.

That Chick-Fil-A will make a ton of money.

:goodposting:

Such a dumb restaurant
Yeah, they make a killing every day all over the place. They are clearly "dumb."

One of the great injustices in the world is getting a hankering for the Fil-a, pull in the parking lot, and realize it's Sunday.

"Damn you, Chick Fil-A.  Damn you to hell!"

I will never understand the craze over this place.  Expensive, mediocre fast food.  Outside of the waffle fries what is so different about it????  I will take a huge bowl of pho any day.
Such a strange post. Can you a name a better national fast food chain?
I will take a dinner w/ wine pairing at French Laundry any day.

They close to attend church services. Maybe it's what makes them 500% better than any other chain not named In-N-Out, Monday-Saturday.
Yeah I know.  Don't most churches have services several times on Sunday and other days?  Guy is giving away profits and taking a day of work away from people who could probably use an extra shift

The obsession and subsequent political divide over Chick-fil-A is so damn...odd.

It's like we just can't talk about their wonderfully seasoned spicy chicken and impeccable morals in the same breath.

The fact that they are closed on Sundays is irrelevant to whether they have impeccable morals.

No one is forced to work at Chick Fil-A. Besides, given how much of the staff is under 21 (at least at the ones I go to), I am guessing the majority of those youngsters love being able to go out on a Saturday night without having to worry about working the next day.

Pretty much.

I don't believe a business should impose their religious beliefs on others with their regular days open. :hophead:

Food is good. They are nice. no attitudes. no resentment. positive always. No worry about some ##### spitting on your order. I enjoy getting my ### kissed.  The order is always spot on. Need i go on? The model fast food franchise.

Just need to go to self-serve beverages with more options, and get rid of styrofoam.

I've also never been to one that was dirty. Always so clean.

^^ This.  Once the one in town opened, we basically stopped going everywhere else for fast food.  I've been a fan for years, and the food has been consistently good.  We actually went to a potential franchisee meeting a few years ago, but didn't continue after the initial pitch.  They have some unique franchisee rules that make it tough to really get rich doing.

...Side benefit of going is I enjoy seeing how many times I can get them to say "My Pleasure," or get the to trip up and say "you're welcome."

Not to mention fast food chicken.

Chicken only?

Granted, it's good for fast food chicken, but...

(no shtick here, I'm honestly shuked over the utter lack of a menu as a plus)

I think the important thing is to assume the people praising Chik-Fil-A food aren't doing so in the context of other fast food options, but compared to any restaurant anyone has ever been to anywhere in the world at any price point.

As for the closed on Sunday thing... ask a franchisee about it sometime.

It's fast food dude - are you mystified why people eat fast food?  Nobody but Willie Neslon (where the hell is he?) is taking their wife on a Friday night date to Chick-fil-a.

The liquor stores around CT tried like hell to stay closed on Sundays. Didn't have to pay employees, sales were low, etc.

Not sure how that would work in the fast food world, though. What's your take? (Now I'm curious)

Not mystified as to why people eat fast food chief, just why this particular franchise stands out to them.  Little if any difference in taste, quality or price.

Of course that's just my opinion.  Feel free to stand in a long line (but not on Sunday!) for some average chow.

my thought exactly - why in the world do you eat fast food?  I get a bowl of Pho, a bah mi, curry chicken, Torta or street taco's, etc. for the same price with much more flavor and much better quality for around $10.  I very rarely eat fast food if you cannot tell.

ETA:  i really do feel sorry for those of you in area's with only chains.  I know that where I work and live allows me so many more options than fast food so it is a bit of a hard comparisons.  Also, French Laundry is amazing bucket list type of place although a bit cost prohibitive to eat at regularly (the bill was 800 per man last time i went).

In-N-Out down?  Heck you can even watch them make your burger there if you are so worried about spitting.

Never been there. There's not one in my area. Chik fil A goes out of their way to hire good people.
This is not meant to be a slight but are you from the center part of the US?  In my area we have so many choices of good food that is in expensive i can't imagine eating at a traditional fast food joint frequently.

I prefer my neighborhood Ruth's Chris.  It's a little more expensive but the chicken is so much better...and I can actually order beef!!!

south

As far as fastfood goes,  chick fil a is the apex predator of the bunch. They clearly have the best food, cleanest restaurants, coupled with a friendly and efficient staff.

Why wouldn't people chose them when slumming for food.

With regards to there are better options out there, look Mr. cultured guy, most peole aren't as cultured as you. They're working on it.
