**Chiefs at Jaguars** (+3.5, 51.5) (1 Viewer)

I honestly don't have a clue who is going to win this game
-KC didn't look great, they are coming off a huge Playoff Run the last 5 years/seasons
It's not unimaginable that some of the players might not be as motivated and hungry as the Jags who they beat in the Divisional Round last season
I think Lawrence will have a good game and I would not be shocked if a WR from Jacksonville that was largely a no show last week is called upon a little more often this weekend.
I watched Zay Jones in Buffalo, watched him with the Raiders, now in JAX and everyone including the QBs all have nice things to say about Zay but the reality is he drops easy passes and makes acrobatic/circus like catches, there is a reason this guy doesn't rack up consistent targets week after week. I think people would be shocked looking at his career stats.
82/823/5TD a year ago, he is not a long ball threat, his avg is 10-11 yds.
Teams will eventually start to key in on Ridley, they should be doing that already.
Kirk will be in good position to capitalize on this soon, Kirk does have long TDs on his resume and you have to assume a Safety is looking at Ridley when the Jags line up 3-wide
The Jags are going to need 30+ likely to win the game today.

Would I start Kirk, probably not but I won't be surprised if he hits the box with a solid outing today.

Jags 28...KC 27

I live in Central Florida. Let me tell you Jag Nation is PUMPED for this game. The Jags want to make a statement today.
I'm torn on if they can or not. Mahomes gets his security blanket and best receiver back today. Chris Jones is back and The Chiefs D didn't play all that bad last week without him.
It may come down to one or two defensive plays or last team with the ball wins. I think a Madden game breaks out,so...

Team Who's Owner Would Rather be in London- 38
Barbecue City- 34

Fully expecting the Jags to get an early two-score lead and then blow it, leading to a back and forth match going down to the last drive with the Chiefs winning.

Steve Smith Jr was on underdog sports on youtube going over game film of chiefs week 1 game. their WRs dont run the routes they're supposed to. Toney was to 'sit down' on one rout, but he kept drifting, mahomes threw behind him. happened all night with all of their WRs.
Smith also said chiefs don't want to run, and that mickinnon's usage was elite and it will continue , cutting into pacheco's value and play time.
this jags team had a lead in the playoff game last year. interesting matchup.

it's a long game and plenty of time for the story arcs to change but if Christian Kirk puts up something similar to last week and the snap count doesn't change...
Chiefs were lit up out of the slot, how could Jax not exploit a Top 5 slot WR in the league this week?

Long game, lot of time, maybe Kirk can connect on a long bomb if they ever target him that way.

It’s going to be a long season for this Chiefs offense…..Mahomes has absolutely nothing outside of Kelce.

A little surprised Noah Gray’s getting as much usage as he’s gotten (well, two catches vs Kelce’s one).

Kelce’s playing decoy, or something else going on? Looking noticeably hampered?

Online it says Zay Jones Questionable to return, didn't know he was hurt
Kirk had a couple catches on the Jags last drive, looks like he might be more involved in the 2nd Half IF Zay Jones cannot continue today

Ridley left the game after running into the goal post. That made it 3rd down and they didn’t convert, so hopefully he will be back next drive. Didn’t look to serious but does make worry…

One of those projected shootouts that doesn’t happen. Neither offense was good. Jags had 3 TD’s eliminated because couldn’t get the 2nd foot in. Need to learn toe drag. Line was terrible, but Lawrence has to play better. Nothing of note on the KC side. Ugly win but they’ll take it

The Chiefs defense is balling, folks. They do deserve some credit here.

The offense is a mess though. They will figure it out.
