Chiefs HC Todd Haley relieved of duties (1 Viewer)

No dog in this fight but thats a bs move to fire him now with everything that has gone wrong with this season. The dude made the playoffs last year with a high school level defense.
Last year the Chiefs also had the easiest schedule in the league by far and their reward was to get embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs.I don't think any argument can be made that Haley was actually a good HC, even with last year's aberration of a season.

Haven't been paying attention, is the Chiefs' ownership being vilified by the media for ditching their coach before the season ended?

Haley would be a great offensive coordinator for a team with a lot of talent.
Ummmm...so would most of us. ETA: IMHO, it's very telling that the only people sad in this thread are Raider and Bronco fans. (SD has it's own bad coaching situation to worry about apparently).
:goodposting: I'm a Bronco fan and I'm really bummed at what's happened (and what's likely to happen) in the AFC West. First, Al Davis passes away (RIP Al, thanks for all you did to make the league what it is today) The Raiders are sure to be a better run organization, and have more logical draft picks without Al running the show. Now Haley gets fired, and Norv Turner will likely be fired at the end of the season IMO, I think these moves make KC and SD's potential futures look brighter, and as a Bronco fan, it's not what I want to see.

Maybe JC can be a feature back now. Odds on him making it 5+ games being an every down back?
well he made it for 8 games in 09
thing is many people next year will continue to say he can't be the main guy and they will point to the injury this year as some type of justification when the fact is his injury wasn't even contact/workload related....he extended his body to try and gain extra yardage on the sideline....almost really slipping on the first down yardage marker on the sideline and jacking his knee up.....

:coffee:I mean, who can blame the ownership for making a change - even though the season wasn't over - if they felt a better opportunity was out there...right?
