Child injured at day camp- what to do legally with the camp? (1 Viewer)

This was so misplayed... Most camps have hot college age women as counselors. If you would've played it right, you could've got them to throw in a happy good times session with one of them.

And, with it almost certainly being less than 100%, why are you having them pay 100% of the bill as some sort of compromise?
He's not having the camp pay 100% of the bill. He's having the camp pay 100% of the deductible, which may be a very small fraction of the bill.

You can argue that having the camp pay anything more than 0% is too much since, based on the info presented in this thread, it seems unlikely that the camp was at fault. But if the camp had actually been negligent, it would be on the hook for the whole bill, not just the deductible.

I for one think that Ned's been a really good sport this entire thread and deserves kudos for that.

Ned Jr. broke a bone in his hand playing dodgeball (it was thrown at him by another child)

Considering lawsuit possibilities in order-

1) Camp for lack of appropriate supervision to ensure that ball should not be thrown so hard

2) 10% of thrower's future earnings

3) Dodgeball manufacturing company (ball shouldn't be that hard)

6). Parents for not providing proper genetics for bone structure in hand that wilted under the dodgeball throw.

Can I sue myself? Should I ask my son if he wants independent counsel to consider an action against my wife and me?  Good advice.  I will ask him tonight.
