Chris Henry-Bengals WR (1 Viewer)

Sweeper

Footballguy
Chris Henry is currently serving an 8 game suspension and I am wondering what's going to happen with him and his role on the Bengals when he returns.

FBG pay content doesn't offer much insight on the possibilities and am curious if he is worth holding onto in Dynasty leagues.

Is it possible for him to slide back into the swing of things after the suspension? Can he produce good #'s or is he simply going to get cut once the suspension is over?

Staff and Homers' insight is much appreciated.

If he's been staying in shape, he'll get in the games -- the Bengals look like they need him back as their third WR.

He's a major talent in my opinion without question. If he's in shape he'll bring a nice upgrade to the Bengals' offense. The key will be how long it takes him to get into football playing shape. It may take him a game or two or maybe even three, but if you have the roster room I think he's a nice guy to stash away for the final month at least.

If he is healthy he will play. He will give you what he gave you last year if you had the balls to start him. One game he will blow up for 25 fantasy points and the next game he will have 1 catch for 9 yards. Starting a 3rd WR on a team works some of the time, but they do not put up consistent points!

I just want to say, an upgrade to an offense that just put up 45 points is scary.

I really need this idiot to get busted again as I have my eye on Glenn Holt as a deep sleeper. 2nd year guy, looked good replacing Perry who is just a tad more frail than Holt.

I was just curious about holding him on my roster. Nothing much has been said about him and didn't know if there were underlying problems here (other than his innate ability to get into trouble).

When playing, I believe he is a serviceable WR and didn't want to dump him only to have him picked up by someone else. Also, I didn't want to hold onto him simply to have him cut by the bengals once he returns.

Absolutely. And just think how much this offense would be if Chris Perry was healthy. He would essentially be another WR to add to the mix. With Palmer at QB and Rudi at RB there would be major talent everywhere.Henry ranked 31st in standard scoring last season as a No. 3 WR. If you believe he'll be able to return and get up to speed quickly he's definitely a WR worth keeping in larger leagues.

He comes in and catches 6 TDs in the 2nd half of the year...
As a Browns fan I hate to say it, but I'd say he catches at least 6 TD in the 2nd half of the year. There are plenty of times the 3rd WR is open for Cincy. Henry would catch some of the passes that Green, Perry, Chatman and Holt don't catch. Palmer would also look for him more often than he looks for the other guys.

This is why I am so reluctant to snub him off my roster. The deal's been sealed. I think I'll keep him around for a while.
