Chris Hogan, WR (1 Viewer)

I used to think that the presence of Amendola would naturally take away form Hogan's targets/usage, especially because Amendola is a naturally better slot receiver.

But Hogan got his at the same time as Amendola did this week. This is one data point, so we will see if this is a trend that continues, but Amendola's presence certainly didn't hamper Hogan's usage or performance this past game.

As long as the NE D is so horrendous, there may indeed be enough to go around for both Hogan and Amendola.
Yeah but you know there's gonna be at least 1 or 2 weeks coming up where Amendola gets 5/85/1 and Hogan gets largely ignored

It happens. It also happens to any player given game flow, coverage scheme, injury, etc.

It does not, however, take away from the fact that Hogan is a guy you can't afford to sit, with or without Amendola playing, until other trends emerge (i.e. Amendola consistently starting to have greater utilization, snap count, etc.).

Amendola played in week 3 and was 3 of 5 for 48 yards. So we have two weeks worth of “healthy” Amendola to look at.

Love him as a football player and love his involvement in the offense this year.   It's clear that he is one of Brady's most trusted players.  Enjoy the ride this year fellas!  I know I'm enjoying it.   He's my wr3 and outscoring baldwin and tyreek hill by far.   So consistent.

Target totals since week 1..

5 > 6 > 6 > 9 > 11

Currently on pace to see 118 targets and turn it into a 74/922/16 line. And week 1 has proven to be an outler.

Anybody's perception of his outlook change after this game? Or still WR2ish ROS?
He's basically Edelman light...a high floor WR2 with upside. I figured he would be boom/bust in this offense but you gotta call a spade a spade given his consistent output so far this season. Either way perhaps the best 9th round pick I've made in years.

He has Brady's trust and looks to be much more than a deep guy...could be shaping up for a nice season

And two days ago I just traded him away in a deal to land Julio (redraft).

I considered Hogan about the #13 WR overall and Julio the #6.  Keenan was around #10.
That's a sweet trade!

I like Allen slightly better, but for me it was really about splitting up Gronk and Hogan. Although, there are much worse scenarios than having two players getting thrown to by Brady.

With the way the oats defense is playing this year and Brady at qb give me every pats player I'll start them all each week lol.

I would LOVE to have Brady, hogan, gronk and maybe even amendola.

This guy is a top 10 fantasy WR, period. He's basically Jordy Nelson on the Pats. Hopefully he will start getting the credit he deserves now in fantasy circles.

He almost scored a second to towards the end of the game.  He's gonna have more multiple score games this year

He was one RB (White) totally blowing a blitz pickup from a walk-in 42 yard TD that would have iced the game mid to late 4th quarter. double move- WIDE OPEN- but brady had to rush the throw and threw it out of bounds. Imagine this place if he just went 8-121- 2 tds last night.

Our two starting WR's are Jordy Nelson and Chris Hogan. Traded D Thomas for Hogan and so far the going is good.

I like the eric decker comp more than the Jordy comp. Jordy is faster and a better deep threat.
Currently start both Jordy and Hogan, and when Decker was catching TD's had him too. I like all three of these guys! Decker not so much anymore for fantasy sake.

I know! Romo called it too. It was an easy walk-in TD if Brady had just a little more time.

In the last page he's been compared to Jordy Nelson, Julian Edelman and Eric Decker. I was going to say a taller Steve Largent.  :o

I love Hogan-- but Im a little worried about some quiet weeks when Gronk & Dola both are playing (I know-- good chance one of them is out almost every week) & also Yes I know all wrs have some quiet weeks!

This - have we seen 2 consecutive weeks with their wr/te's healthy to get a read on the distribution?

Not really. They were all active weeks 3 & 4 but Dola was 'limited' or worked in week three. Dola missed week 2. Gronk missed week 5. Hogan did nothing week 1 when they were all healthy but Brady couldn't even finish his drop back before getting pummeled vs KC

+ Peters was great that game.

I really loved to see him getting consistent targets with a healthy Amendola in the game.

I would expect Gronk when healthy to take away some of the red zone looks Hogan gets, and seeing the remainder split between him and Amendola as teams double Gronk inside the 20s.

Solid, solid, floor guy.

Nabbed Hogan in the 15th round of my 3-keeper dynasty league.  I would say I had the steal of the draft but one of my league mates nabbed Kareem Hunt in the 13th,  I drafted Hooper there #DOH
