Here you go MOP. Im pushing the other Saints running back again LOL

I see Dodds has PT ranked as the Saints RB to get the carries this week but I only see that being the case if Ivory is out. As a Saints homer who has watched Ivory and PT I have observed that Chris Ivory is the more explosive runner with more YPC and the ability to break a long run with the speed/power combo that he has. PT has been so so in his return and hasnt really gotten his wheels under him yet. I think they will split the workload pretty evenly but Ivory will be in at the red zone and short stuff. PT more so as a pass protector, 3rd down back. Bush will be a WR option for short looks with Colston out so Brees could check down his way a few times. Of the Backs, Ivory is the one to start IMO. Ivory exploded against the Bucs earlier in the season for a huge game. I welcome your arguments/comments.

y upgraded Thursday: Saints RB Chris Ivory (hamstring) was upgraded from limited to full practice on Thursday as New Orleans continued preparations for its Week 17 game against Tampa Bay. Ivory rushed for a career-best 158 yards in Week 6 against the Bucs.

Injury Report

Hamstring - Full practice. Probable for Week 17 vs. Tampa Bay

Fantasy Analysis

Ivory was solid for the Saints this season after the team lost Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush to injuries. Both players are back, but coach Sean Payton has held he will continue to use Ivory in key situations. Payton would surely love to get Ivory some carries before the playoffs begin and he could very well return in Week 17. However, we doubt he will see a heavy workload in his first game back, so there is some risk to starting Ivory in Fantasy.

(Updated 12/30/2010).
I disagree with the "risk" part of the write up but the rest I agree with.

Will Pieree Thomas ever get the respect he deserves from the Saints and their fan? They need his running effort and his contributions in the passing game as well. It is in their best interests to get Pieree back to form as best they can fothe playoffs.

Its more about health now than respect. Pierre is not healthy

Well if he's injured, that's a different story. Ivory won't play this week b/c he's more explosive than Thomas like you said.

The injury actually happened after I started this thread but even before the injury you could tell PT is not himself. He is a great player even at times when he is hobbled. Actually I am starting to think the Saints just need to sit all of them this game and play Jones. They need to be fresh for the playoffs.

Last year Mike Bell, this year Chris Ivory. Who's it going to be next year? You really don't like PT and that is evident.

Mark Ingram I hope. Pierre will want too much money in his contract and he cant stay healthy so this will probably be the last year you will need to worry about my posts and Pierre Thomas.

Mark Ingram won't go in the bottom 3rd of the 1st rd.

Mark Ingram won't go in the bottom 3rd of the 1st rd. What's your beef with PT, other than the injury prone angle?

I know, He drops to 15 at the lowest. He has not been without injury himself either. Saints do need to look though. All their RB's are made of glass and with the exception of Ivory, will want too much money.
