Ok, who's going to budge here? It's bad enough that Tn may implode this year and be a tough place for fantasy production but this is a terrible start. Isn't he being fined 30K a day under the new deal? That'll add up quick. Doesn't Tn realize that with out CJ they are really toast and will be practically irrelevant?? Can''t CJ just show up to camp and get a deal done... and are the Titans really ready to make him a deal as they imply? Any insiders hear anything? Please post it here! Thanks

If he's under contract he's got to come in. Sorry.

it's looking like the BIG decision for TEN is who to trade Locker to when they end up with the 1.01

i like how Marcedes Lewis is handling his "holdout" ... he showed up and is going to meetings and WATCHING practice ... at least be there to get the mental reps and let agents and GMs deal

so i understand why TEN is playing hardball, "get your butt in here and just be here learning new system, no contact so you wont get hurt and we'll get you a new deal"

I agree totally, go to camp... then work on the deal, your point is made. I like the hard stance by the Titans and I like the 30K a day penalty, which I believe starts right away. CJ is under contract so he should be there and put team first...and they know he is seriously underpaid. I think agents are the Wormtongue in a lot of these cases and players can also be mighty petty.

Vincent Jackson and Logan Mankins learned this the hard way.

Amazing how intelligence and humility can be in such short supply in the NFL (or the world), but it's also amazing how we fans can expect it to be there, lol. A little communication could go a long way in these cases, a little swallowing of pride. MAny fantasy rosters depend on it!!!

DJax is going through the same thing. The team has all the leverage. They know it, Desean knows it, Rosenhaus knows it. This is just a ntoice to management that he is unhappy. He has to report by 8/9 or lose eligibility towards his UFA status next year. He also began losing $30k per day since yesterday. Since he's only making $550k for the season, he better get his butt in there. The Eagles will pay him but they won't do so until he shows up. Both CJ and Djax will show up because they have to.

He should hold out through the season. He really needs to prove his point

Ok, good info, thanks, wasn't sure of the exact date but that should force the issue.

Not for CJ unfortunately. He has a 5 year where Jackson only has 4.

:goodposting: CJ has a slight bit more leverage just because he's going to be in Tenn next year regardless. If DJax wanted to get out of Philly, he has to show up by 8/9.

The Titans need Chris Johnson. He is all they have, and you need to take care of your franchise players. He played all of last season on a contract that was not even close to the player of his caliber with the thought that he would get his extension before entering camp this year. They will/should anti up asap and get their best player into camp.
