Bengals RB Perry Criticizes Team's Medical StaffChick Ludwig, Dayton Daily News - [Full Article]Cincinnati Bengals running back Chris Perry criticized the team's medical staff on Sunday over the way his injuries and diagnoses have been handled over the past several months. "I came in here and got an MRI, and they said everything was fine with the knee," Perry said. "I kept on working out, and it kept on hurting. I had to get something done to it. The second opinion confirmed what I thought — that it was more than what they were saying. If they would have told me about (needing surgery) in February, it would have happened in February. I knew it was hurt, but to the extent that it was, I had no clue. So then I went and got a second opinion and found out how hurt I really was."
Christmas Perry's got a boatload of talent and a truck-load of reason's not to touch him in a draftUPDATE FROM SEPTEMBER 2nd

Truckload < BoatloadAre you implying we should pick him up? ;)Wow, just when you think Cinci can't possibly have any more distractions . . . :o

I don't blame him for being pissed. My goodness, why not error with caution that early in the offseason with a guy you have such a high investment in.

As much money as these guys make they should get second opinions on anything they get from team doctors.

Does this mean Perry will have knee surgery?

He already had the surgery...just not as early in the offseason as he would have liked.

RB Perry Placed On PUP

Mark Curnutte, Cincy Enquirer - [Full Article]

RB Chris Perry, suffering from an ankle injury, was placed on the physically unable to perform list today. He will not be eligible to play for the first six weeks of the season.

i thougth it was a Knee Injury

Anybody have a guess if Perry will play at some point this year? I had heard he was running a bit before being put on the PUP list.

Move Rudi UP
I don't see Rudi's role changing. He won't suddenly be the pass-catching RB in the offense. Watson will be that guy until Perry returns, which s/b week 7 if he goes on PUP.
:goodposting: Pick up Kenny Watson if you're trying to replace Perry.
Take a look at the preseason stats, and you may want to pick up Quincy Wilson instead. Watson has been invisible this year while Wilson has received the carries for the most part.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I think Wilson probably has more talent, but Watson has more experience.
