How will Redman fair Monday night?

He threw for 170+ and 2 TDs in come back mode last week against St Louis. He's familiar and comfortable with Petrino. The New Orleans pass DEF blows. Anyone else think he could have a good game?

250 and 2 TDs?

If it becomes a shot out, which all depends on Brees, I think he has a shot at throwing 3 TDs.

What say you?

im thankful that i in no way have to consider such a thing.
yea well, I got Warner and Bulger....it is the playoffs, so it's not the time to blindly start a name, if a no-namer like Redman can provide more fantasy points.

my playoff life will depend on Crumpler and Roddy White on Monday, so alhtough I won't have to depend on Redman directly, Here is to a big game to his two big receivers :hifive:

I like him the best of the also-ran type QBs and would start him over all but 12-15 options. He knows Petrino's offense well and NO made McCown look like McNabb last week (the good McNabb).

I think I'm going to go with Redman. I have Schaub-out, Warner vs a tough pass defense and looks like instead of 2 studs he will have 1/2 stud (Fitz) at best, also can see Warner getting knocked out of the game.

I decided to pick up Redman, this way I can wait until the 4pm EST gametime to decide between Warner and Redman. I was going to pick up Grossman, thank god I thought this through and did not roll the dice with that one.

This should be the super bowl for Atlanta- MNF at home, Saints have no pass defense but can score to keep Atlanta throwing, Redman knows the system and I have a gut feeling that this will be the feel good story of the week.

Funny you mention Mcnabb I faced with the choice of starting either McNabb or Redman. Leaning towards McNabb right now but not sure.

I'd go with Redman against a porous N.O. defense -- or why not Colt Brennan of the Hawaii Warriors? :lmao:

You're lucky if you got Redman off FA's. My league's so competitive he was gone in the 4th round

Can any ATL homers provide insight on the Redman-Roddy White connection? Should Roddy still put up good numbers with Redman in?
Obvioulsy VERY limited data (1Qtr), but Roddy's targets did not suffer at all with Redman in. No matter who is the QB, White is the man in Atlanta, including over Crumpler. It is interesting to note that Crumpler seemed to be targeted more with Redman in, but still not as much as White. (That BTW is pure observation with no stats to back it up).Keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed, hoping Redman can be a solid 1-2 year stop gap at QB so we can focus on O-line in the draft and FA.

Thanks for the info :lmao:

Decent outing for Redman, almost 300 yards and 2 tds. Two TOs, one of which should have been caught. Most likely will continue to start next week, IMHO.

Unfortunate that he didn't have a running game, could've been better. Too bad we don't have an explosive back who's always a threat to break a big play on our team. You know, a guy who's averaging over 6 yards a carry to replace the aging star who's barely getting 3 yards.

Yeah, sure wish we had someone like that to help the running game.

If Roddy White had, oh let's just say, BEEN LOOKING FOR THE BALL, he had an easy 57 yard TD, but stopped his route short and wasn't even looking for the ball. With that one, it would have been a pretty nice day for Redman.

I must've missed that one, I was leaning on the tivo pretty heavily and, let's face it, my drink had more of my attention than the remote.

Totally agreed that Roddy blew a TD. I watched the game just to scout him as he's on my bench (he'll stay their for Cooley most likely).

I felt bad for Redman. Atlanta receivers let him down all night. Crumpler dropped at least two; Jenkins dropped at least one or two (and tipped an extremely catchable ball taken back for a TD). I think Norwood dropped at least one. Whilte let up on an easy TD. Pretty disappointing.

I started Redman AND Norwood in a "fortune favors the bold (and crazy)" move. Luckily, I didn't need much. Redman with a pleasant surprise, but how Petrino can CONTINUE to not get the ball to Norwood more just baffles me. He has speed and enough power where I would make sure he was a target on every single drive, but that's just me. Back to the bench he goes...

Yeah, pretty much a yawner of a game after the Saints got the lead. I just had to watch for Roddy to make a play :thumbup:oh, and a  for me

Here's an interesting tidbit for those rummaging thru the waivers looking for receivers, M Jenkins with Redman at the helm.

4Q wk 13 - 3/281

wk 14 - 9/83/1 (white was 3/75/1).

Redman certainly spreads it around more, but seems to like Jenkins. Now, in that 4th quarter in wk 13, White had a ridiculous 9 targets, but after a week practicing with the #1 offense, he went to Jenkins a lot.

I think a lot of last night can be attributed to McKenzie being a much better CB and matched up vs Roddy all night.

Entirely possible, but it caught my eye. White's still the home run threat regardless.
