Not me.Foreshadowing? So who thinks Simms will be on the active roster of the Bucs or even make it through trianing camp?
Good question....maybe his dad insisted on it or it was part of his contract. Why was there still a poster of him up, anyway?

I think Andy Herron stole it and erected it in his bedroom.Foreshadowing? So who thinks Simms will be on the active roster of the Bucs or even make it through training camp?
They put the posters up the year he was headed in as a starter, and they don't change them too often. Simms & Clayton posters should have been gone 2 years ago. There aren't really may stand out players on the Bucs, so they were bound to regret a few of their Fat Head XL purchases.
All the more reason not to tip your hand by prematurely ordering your marketing department to tear down a huge banner. Dumb move. Why couldn't that have waited for a day or two?Over the past few years, the Bucs have not had the marketable players they had in the 90's such as Sapp, Lynch, and Alstott. Simms was a reach, but was a big name and the starting QB. But with new names such as Ruud, Piscatelli, Graham, and Talib in the fold...and possibly Favre...they can move to better options now.
This could have nothing to do with Favre. Simms would be replaced by Piscatelli, Talib, or Graham anyway...who are not currently up.All the more reason not to tip your hand by prematurely ordering your marketing department to tear down a huge banner. Because there are several better options from a markeing standpoint than Simms.Even if it has nothing to do with Favre, why is it a good idea to engage in iconoclasm before you actually announce your roster move? This could have nothing to do with Favre. And this was a critical day or two in which they simply had to remove Simms' poster? BTW, if there were "better options", who'd they replace the Simms poster with?Because there are several better options from a markeing standpoint than Simms.Even if it has nothing to do with Favre, why is it a good idea to engage in iconoclasm before you actually announce your roster move? This could have nothing to do with Favre. Better options would include but not be limited to Josh Johnson, Earnest Graham, Warrick Dunn, Michael Bennett, Ben Troupe, Marice Stovall, Dexter Jackson, Arron Sears, Jeremy Trueblood, Cato June, Jovan Haye, Aqib Talib, Tenard Jackson, Will Allen, Jermaine Phillips, Sabby Piscatelli, Matt Bryant, or Josh Bidwell.Tatum Bell said:BTW, if there were "better options", who'd they replace the Simms poster with?

Do you think this is possible ?I think he's spleenless toast.Ministry of Pain said:.... further his career with another team.
Funny. However, I'm not really a fan. I just know there is mutual interest between the Cowboys and Chris Simms and see him landing here eventually.Tatum Bell said:I think Andy Herron stole it and erected it in his bedroom.Osaurus said:Foreshadowing? I like Piscatelli, but he hasn't even started a game yet.gump said:This could have nothing to do with Favre. Oof. Well played.Well, it probably wasn't very hard to take down.

I agree...but he is one of the top jersey sellers already. Not sure who it's going to be, if it's done...I'm guessing Graham.I like Piscatelli, but he hasn't even started a game yet.gump said:This could have nothing to do with Favre. Yeah, probably Graham/ Dunn/ or Rudd (if he's not already up there).Didn't realize Sabby was that high on jersey sales. Just out of curiosity where do you see jersey # sales, I would be curious to see all Bucs players.I agree...but he is one of the top jersey sellers already. Lot of Tampa fans must read the IDP forum here. Sabby is in line for his own sub-forum.Didn't realize Sabby was that high on jersey sales.

Bad Tater!
I think Ruud is already up there? Not 100% sure... I'm in the industry...actually talked to the Reebok rep yesterday about all of this. He said, keeping in mind jersey sales are slow overall, that Garcia, Rudd, Graham, Talib, and Piscatelli were selling well so far (it's early...so this is mostly based on what was sold to the retailers, not what has sold at retail).QUEZILLA said:Yeah, probably Graham/ Dunn/ or Rudd (if he's not already up there).Didn't realize Sabby was that high on jersey sales.
