Chris Taylor (1 Viewer)

Aside from being a 5'11" 220 lb Rookie from Indiana, what else do we know about this guy.

With Kubiak playing the RBs the way Shannenstien has for years in Denver, Is this guy a possible Sleeper for the Fantasy Playoffs?

Kubiak is saying he will get touches until the end of the season so they can get a good look at what they have before next year. To me, that sounds like he should get a full load in at least 1 or 2 games.........

Schedule

Week 13 @Oakland

Week 14 Tennessee

Week 15 @NE

Week 16 Indy

Except for @NE, I like the schedule alot. This is looking like a possible Shark play going into the playoffs IF he actually gets the touches AND has some talent.

Anyone else feelin this vibe........

And can some Indiana :homer: chime in with some info.............

:2cents:

imho, that's a lotta if's. And Oakland isn't a pushover defense either.

I gave up on trying to read shannihan's mind. Best of luck though!

A Oaklands D is good against the Pass, not so much against the run.B Shanny is in Denver, This RB plays for Houston.Anyone else?

I know nothing about him but I do know that the other RB's they have are stiffs and Kubiak is looking for anyone that can help. So based on opportunity alone he's worth a pickup IMO. Could be a '05 Gado like shot in the arm going down the stretch. Who knows.

Bueller........Bueller..........Bueller........................................

FBGs? Anyone?

Pickups are tonight for all of my leagues and this guy could turn out to be big down the stretch - he has the size and the pedigree.........................anyone?

Am I the only one this is popping out at?

Should have written Super Sleeper on the Title............................

I'd disagree with that. Oakland is not giving up a lot of yards in the passing game because teams are almost always leading them and running clock plus I think teams use a conservative gameplan for the Raiders because if you don't beat yourself like the Steelers did the Raiders won't beat you.

Oakland is currently ranked 24th against the run. They are ranked #1 against the pass. Id say that is not so good against the run, regardless of why.Now they are changing OC to Shoop? Do you think they will be more successfull on offense? Because I'm not so sure that its going to make a difference. And if they can't keep the defense off the field, then teams are going to continue to go up on them and then run, run , run.Im just sayin......

I don't know anything about Chris Taylor, but has it occurred to anyone that when Kubiak says he wants to get a look at what they have in Chris Taylor that what he might mean is giving him A FEW carries to see if he's even worthy of a roster spot? This does not necessarily mean giving him 25 carries a game to see if he can be the feature back.

All I know is that Fanball doesn't even have this cat in their list of players haha...

Also, I'd like to hear more about the guy and less about OAK D.

That's because he's still on the practice squad and not the regular roster. And since he hasn't played since preseason there isn't much more to say about him than what was said in the preseason threads.

That may be the case, but what's the harm in a waiver claim (particularly for dynasty guys)? Worst case he doesn't pan out, and you cut him. Best case you end up with Dom Davis, Rudi Johnson, etc.

I wasn't suggesting that he's not worthy of a roster spot in a dynasty league. I'm just saying people should temper their enthusiasm a little bit if they're basing it on this one quote from Kubiak.

I remember him as a sleeper from some draft publications. My recollection is that the Wali Lundy/Mike Bell surprises could have just easily been Chris Taylor, if that makes any sense.

I did a search but there isn't much info on him that I could find. GregR had a few snippets about him running to the outside on most of his runs and looking good in the preseason.

:goodposting: I was thinking the same. I have not seen the games, are Lundy and Gado really bad enough for Kubiak to look for a new feature back by giving him most of the carries? HOw about that OL, that must have something to do with the lack of production in the running game.

I'm pretty sure Lundy and Gado are playing bad enough that the Texans feel they still need at least one more RB in the upcoming draft, and that was basically the first part of what Kubiak said in his quote. Both backs had terrible games last week.Houston just lost their center also, but he was out early in the year when the running game looked better anyway. My thinking is they know what they have in Gado and Lundy, but Taylor is an unknown quantity. Big back with fresh legs vs tired defenses could equal a few good games...............this is definetely an upside proposition with more possible value in dynasty leagues.

Betting on Shanahan to be predictable with an RB? At best, the guy will be part of a crowded RBBC. There have to be better gambles out on the waiver wires.

He's not on MFL, but I'm hoping he's activated from the practice squad soon so that I can grab him ASAP.

The book I have on him is he's a greenhorn caught between two surrogate fathers, Sgt Elias and Staff Sgt Barnes. I think they are fighting for his soul.
lol, well played. If I remember, he hits the hole hard, as long as it's dug in the ground.
