Ciatrick Fason? (1 Viewer)

No. 16

Any news or first hand observations on Ciatrick Fason? I just GoogleNewsed his named and the latest I got was that he is the No. 2 RB behind Taylor.

I don't have NFL network and live on the West Coast so I haven't seen him at all this off-season. DOes he look good? Future prospects still bright?

It sounds like you know what I know about the dude. He seems to have beaten out MeMo for the backup job, and MeMo will therefore be limited to return duty and maybe some 3rd down situations.

AP EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Minnesota Vikings running back Mewelde Moore still isn't practicing because of an injured knee, and he's not likely to suit up for Friday's exhibition game.Coach Brad Childress said Monday that Moore, the expected backup to Chester Taylor, was "marginal" to play against Baltimore."Mewelde is doing a great job with his rehab, and he may be ready for that last preseason game," Childress said, referring to the Aug. 31 trip to Dallas.Ciatrick Fason has moved into Moore's spot behind Taylor.
Another blurd said that Fason was running with more purpose and getting tough yards. It was a big issue last year and he was very young. But, I get the feeling Moore's demotion only has to do with his knee, and Childress sees Moore as the more versatile and complete player. He is, btw.
