I'll have lv5 wiz complete in a few hours. I'll pre-build 200 of them at lv4 and finish of CW defenses if there are any open spots at that point.

 
So I'm cooking L1 :porked: 's :bowtie:

What's the best strategy for utilizing them on attack? Let gints play meat shield and send in after? Launch first to target a specific defensive unit and move on with normal attack? I know life expectancy is low for them but I'd like to start using them this war if possible. there is a th8 with 4 AD units that might be a good target for hogs. School me up.

And this little piggy cried wee wee wee, let a warrior climb on his back, jumped the purple walls, avoided the spring trap, hit a big bomb, got healed, and destroyed the mortar so the archer babes could take down the townhall enroute to a three star win. Then hit the club for an Electric Boogaloo victory celebration.

In case anyone ever attacks with no archers or wizards. Minions DO kill dragons. I wish I had know that earlier. I would have had a 750K monster. It turned into a 400K OK attack instead.

 
So I had an idea to release 8 lv5 wiz as CC killers and flank them with 15 hogs on left and right sides. Once the cc troops were dispatched i was gonna let loose a healer to keep my wiz alive as in real life that's about as uber as it gets. Except my lv5 wiz tore the crap up out of his cc troops and didn't need it. healer ran of to heal my hogs and got shot up. would have been nice later if wiz lived as hogs left two arch towers behind.

So lesson is to hold the healer till it has something to ####### heal that i want to stay alive. would have been an easy easy 3 star had I followed that.

OMG I watched that attack that was horrible how are you ranked above me?!?

check out Gary23 replay vs their 1. Horrible beat.
I am pretty happy with that. My anti-hogs defense almost worked. He only had 2 hogs left! Normally, I would be upset, but that was their number 1 guy, who was a TH10. That was a tough beat for him, but I lasted the whole 3 minutes against hogs!

The healers don't have any sort of limited radius they look for wounded troops in either. I somehow know that they'll fly straight though the middle of an enemy base to try to heal troops on the other side.

This clan is targeting our lower level and having more success than the typical group. They haven't really even tried anyone in the 20-30 range and their success rate from 1-10 is meh.

I'm calling this one over.

 
totally failed in my second attack. Sorry guys.
Me too. I could not kill the wizards with my archers. They fried my pigs. Next time I'll bring more archers/wizards and less hogs. Sometimes I suck.
My normal 200 unit war army is 12 barb, 7 archer, 9 wizard, my BK and then the rest hogs. Sometimes replace one hog with a giant if he works better to pop CC fully.

Seldom use all the non-hogs unless I am dealing with an Archer Queen in addition to BK and CC. Without AQ I tend to use about 5 wizard then most of barb and arch, and can save those wiz and my BK for mop up. Love saving BK since he can hammer through walls for other mop up troops if hogs run low.

But the times I screw up, the extra is enough I still wipe their troops. Have had a few poor jobs I did, but only true fails were from not getting CC completely empty.

I noticed in this war that some of our attacks did not begin with properly luring and killing CC troops.

Fundamental strats such as not grouping our troops when kiling their cc wizards were missed, which resulted in weaker attacks and running out of time.

Our clans have had a lot of success so maybe our execution has gotten a bit sloppy over the weeks.

apparently there was a glitch last night where if you spent gems you would be refunded what you spent when you logged back on

I spent about 640 gems last night and they were all refunded. it was on the supercell messageboard they fixed it now
