2025 NCAA Quarters 2nd Draft (1 Viewer)

Here's what analytics say the final payouts will be. This is based on expected number of wins by team. Dont ask me to explain this further. I think it's mostly correct.

Penguin -$12.79
Capella -$3.67
Scoresman $37.93
Battersbox $6.13
SteelerFan03 $7.09
Dwayne Hoover -$19.35
kupcho1 $6.93
Uruk Hai/msudaisy26 -$22.29

:bowtie: Yes, I used analytics a bit in drafting.

That app is stupid!

Yea I fell asleep. I’m old.

3.02 Gonzaga

Don’t know what it says about my draft analysis that I was considering them at 1.02 but it can’t be good.
In hindsight, maybe having the Zags at 1.02 was correct and good.
They look unbeatable today.
Zags - Houston is an insane second round game. They both got screwed there.

Gonzaga is essentially playing up to the three seed the metrics say they should have had (if that were all you go by when seeding).

That means it's essentially a 1 vs 3 in the R32. A Final Four type game this early?

It’s insane. How is the committee still bad at this.

wtf am I looking at here
Hopefully 4 tabs
  1. Quarters #1 draft with each drafter's roster that shows points compiled and dollars won to-date. Should also cross off teams eliminated on the rosters
  2. Quarters #2 draft with each drafter's roster that shows points compiled and dollars won to-date. Should also cross off teams eliminated on the rosters
  3. Regional breakdown of team's performance
  4. Draft comparison (shows when each team was selected by both drafts)
Let me know if you're not seeing this.

First Weekend Standings

Penguin ($10.25)
Capella ($0.25)
Scoresman ($34.25)
Battersbox $5.75
SteelerFan03 $19.75
Dwayne Hoover ($22.25)
kupcho1 $57.75
Uruk-Hai ($16.25)

3.07 Arkansas Razorbacks
Boy you guys dodged a bullet last night.
I felt like someone reached inside my pocket and stole money from me when Tech came back and won that game (or Arkansas gacked it up; I'm good with either description).

I should have known something was up when CBS flashed the stat that Calipari had never lost a game (35-0?) when up 6+ at the half.

The only upside is that with everything else being chalk, my worst case scenario is winning $8.

The easiest way is usually for the losers to all send their payments to the highest winner, and the winner sends out payments to the other winners.

I think that would require 7 transactions (5 losers pay me, I pay the other 2 winners) whereas what I outlined would only require 6.
But I'm good either way.

True, but any other way would require more coordination of sending payment info around with people paying multiple others.

This way, only one person, the winner, has to deal with more than one venmo account.

So, the following people send to kupcho1. Per his post above, his Venmo account is @kupcho1

@Penguin ($16.00)
@Capella ($18.00)
@Scoresman ($38.00)
@Battersbox ($12.00)
@Dwayne Hoover ($22.00)

Later, kupcho1 sends to the following after receiving payments:

@Uruk-Hai $14.00
@SteelerFan03 $16.00

Fine by me.
@Uruk-Hai and @SteelerFan03 , please send me your venmo address.

BTW, payment already received from @Scoresman ; thanks!

What a strange year for me. The metrics predicted this would be a year light on upsets. So I drafted with that in mind, and end up the biggest loser.

It just comes down to picking the right one or two teams.

And yet you finished in the black in Quarters #1. Which was fortunate, as the total won/lost was $162 vs. the $106 in Quarters #2.
You were spot on with "light on upsets" this year. Last year, as an example, woz won all of the money at almost $275.

I got lucky this year. I watch little to no college hoops until the tournament and almost had every conceivable team win in their first round.
As my dad always says "better lucky than good."

I don't use Paypal and based on their recent scam w/r/t Honey, I don't plan to use them.
Venmo works well for me.

Donate it, then. Or, if @msudaisy26 has venmo, send it to her.
