Other thing is to give a small amount of space between outer buildings and walls... With outer buildings close enough to each other the dragons loop around outside first if they are not smart how they deploy them

I can see the war page and war CCs of beer's clan after joining, but the donate button stays greyed out.

Greg, appreciate the effort, great idea had it worked. Most of these guys other than about 3 are just getting into the game so while they are enthusiastic, they aren't real good yet The one th8 still has stone walls, just upgraded to upgrade to buy more stuff but can't support it. Rest are still feeling their way around.

I'm planning on heading back to fbg1 on Sunday, really miss an active clan!

Things are expensive enough I am kind of grateful for long upgrades at this point. Gives me a day or two to make enough for next upgrade.

Appears with the new update they are doing a lot of maintenance to address any issues that come up. Big fan of that unless you're caught in teh middle of a war attack. These guys don't #### around getting stuff fixed.

I'm upgrading to lvl5 (6 days), but I'm doing both simultaneously so it could be a rocky week for me.

I'm upgrading to lvl5 (6 days), but I'm doing both simultaneously so it could be a rocky week for me.

Oh yes... those healer/giant/wizzie types will find you good sir. I ran into lots of trouble when I was upgrading a couple AA at once

Everyone double check your war base. Mine was really screwed up. There must be some bugs in the base saving system.

I'm with you. I just started 2 10-day tesla upgrades, and am about to upgrade AA to Level 6. I'm looking forward to the break.

So could I get some TH8 farming strategies? Is sub200 still viable? I've never tried it because I felt like I was always raking it in at TH7, but for some reason, TH8 farming has been bell. I've hovered in the 1100-1300 range, rarely find big juicy bases, lucky to find 100k/100k. I need a crapload of elixir for all of the new TH8 upgrades but it's been tough to come by.

At th8 I did sub200 mainly for DE but I switched my army to 8 wb's and barchCurrently I climbed trophies and have been hanging around 1150-1250 using barch. There are some very juicy bases up here but not so much DE. Good thing at 1200 range is once you logoff someone will snipe your TH and give you a shield

When I need DE again I might climb to 1500 or go back to sub200

I've still had no luck farming sub-200. I'm now sitting at 8-900. At 200 I would literally spend 10k in gold to find one base with 18k avail. The economics didn't make sense. At my current lvl I find plenty of 30-40k bases to raid

Last night, TH8 sub200 with 3 barracks but all boosted, I made about 1.6m gold and 400k elixir in 2 hours, using barch.

Normally I make less gold and more elix, just an odd mix of bases or ones I died after getting the gold.

Most TH8 sub200 is doing real attacks, not goblin rushes. Though you will still find a few 50k easy steals they are rare.

The best thing about sub200 now is you can quickly climb to 400 trophies and get away from most all meaningful attacks including lightning de.

This should be an easy dragon rush. With such weak Aa you may just do heal spells and hope they stay clustered

Yup. Triple zap the south AA just to be sure, and you might even collaterally wound the wizard towers. Then either all dragons or, if you want to cute, hogs should get to the north AA easily enough and would make it even easier for the dragons.

if you dont earn war loot bonus, you get nothing. You dont get anything for just being on the winning team

You gotta 1 star to earn loot correct? If you get shut out you don't get any loot associated with that attack.

I think level 5 wizards are pretty damn powerful, but tough to use, level 4 have even less HP. You will probably use level 2 dragons more.

I will be stocking cc with 1 balk, then as many level 5 wizards as will fit. Then I will fill in with level 5 archers. Seems like this is the best set-up. If anyone wants something different let me know.

Sounds like a plan SoCal. Just check people's Request on the screen before the donation, there's a couple of people who prefer dragons or all wizards. And injecting a little bit of uncertainty we might have something else in there is not a bad thing at all, either.

Listed on the war map when you go to donate troops

Right, most people who want other than valk/wiz have it in their request already.

Just click on each base on the war prep screen where you would be donating, and it has the text of their request if any right above the donate button.

As far as offensive donations, we tend to wait until close to attacks starting so we don't, say, get hogriders donated and then lose them on non-war defense when someone does a non-war raid of the base. Unless someone has a shield that will last until they are going to use the attacks anyway.
