Note for everyone in the clan...

There is a separate war base editor now. Your war base is no longer the same as your normal base at the moment prep day ends. So go into the war prep screen and hit the Edit War Base button there to set up your war base and save it.

This is my first war. I could use some guidance. I am "with stupid ".

For now, just keep playing like normal until prep day ends. Once it ends build up your best army for attacking another base, and you can request troops in your normal CC that you will attack with in war. Your war attack uses your normal army and normal CC like any normal raid would. War defense, the CC on the war prep screen that we stock for you will be what defends your base, so they are separate. You don't have to worry about rearming traps and the troops in the war CC respawn for the next defense.

Once the war starts 24 hours from when the match was made, you get 2 attacks. For you, just pick the two easiest, lowest level bases. If you get 1 star or more on them you'll get the loot bonus shown when you click on the enemy base added to your loot for the war. If we win you get that amount in your CC, if we lose I think you get 1/3 or something like that.

With where you're at in our batting order, just try to get yourself a star so you get some loot on each of your 2 attacks, so just go after the easiest guys. If you want help, ask in chat and people can suggest how to go about attacking. We'll also give you higher level troops for your CC to attack with.

That's my kid's account (I'm Puncher in FBG1). I told them if they want to be in a clan, they can join that one for now, and once they build up their base a bit more and get some more battle experience they can join up with FBG1 or 2.

When someone has requested troops and it's scrolled down the chat window off the screen, it gives you a little green exclamation point to tell you there's a troop request off screen.

I didn't realize until this last week that you can click on the exclamation point and it will jump you to the request.

Since I know we have a number of new players, might as well post the one that several of us mentioned we didn't spot for awhile.

When in your barracks or your spell lab, the window showing your troop choices has arrows on the sides pointing left and right. You can click those to jump to your next barracks/spell lab/dark barracks.

So it sounds like their #1 had full camps (240) of Lev 6 wizards last night. Right now he's got 140 of them. So expect wizards in their CCs.

When killing them, avoid bunching up your troops. If you are using lightning it might take 2 if you don't hit them all cleanly. Because of their increased health, just archers may have trouble taking them down. Getting them grouped and having a few wizards about them will help a lot.

Lev 6 wizard has 164 health. A TH 7 with lev 4 archer does 20 damage per second so it takes 9 archers all shooting at one to take him down in a single volley (and of course they won't all gang up on a single wizard like that).

By comparison, it would take 1 shots from a lev 4 wizard to take one down (187.5 per attack), and it would do splash damage to any others near him. Wizards are money when killing CC troops.

Edited to fix it only takes 1 wiz, not 2.

just 2, but will roll mostly with balloons. minions really only help with cleanup imo. They die too fast to archer towers. Need them for speed towards the end when most archers and all aa are down.

I feel similarly. My lab is nearly done a minion level 3 upgrade, but I really don't know that it will have much impact on my balloonion. I don't pack more than 15 or so usually. I'm thinking I shoulda done another rage spell upgrade first.

My less active son left the Minors to move to a friends clan. My other son, who is more active, was going to move back to FBG1 or 2 to get back into the war action. I can bide my time for a bit, since it is just us there for now.

Well I ask because for balloons, honestly, going from 140% increase to 150% damage increase might be inconsequential -- the target will be obliterated on the first hit either way.

Even though it's reported in dps, the balloon only drops one bomb every 4 seconds. So each level 5 balloon attack does 432 damage.

Level 2 Raged means a single balloon hit would be 1036 damage. Level 3 raged would be 1080 damage.

Oh absolutely! That is exactly how I consider them - speed boosts. But there again, for balloons the speed is tripled by even level 1 rage, and at higher levels the difference is really small

unraged balloon speed = 10

level 1 rage balloon = 30

level 2 rage balloon = 32

level 3 rage balloon = 34

There is a post by a Super Cell moderator at http://forum.supercell.net/showthread.php/240784-RAGE-Spell-130-or-*130/page2 that indicates it truly is a bonus of that amount, rather than that being the result of applying the bonus.

So with your level 2 spell and a 140% bonus, if the unit normally does 100 damage, under rage he does 100 base + 140 bonus = 240 damage.

I've done no research, but I am intrigued when I hear about BAM (barb archer minions) and would like to see how it differs from barch.

Only carry like 5 minions just for cleanup if you happened to clear out all the archers and AA and there are resources left on the ground you can't get because all your guys are killt. If you go this route deploy them from all 4 corners of the map so a red bomb doesn't kill all 5 at the same time.

Yes. The war castle is different and just for clan war defense.

Yes they are completely independent of one another

Defense comes from the war prep screen troops, and they respawn between attacks on their own.

War attacks, everything is the same as a normal raid. Your normal army camp units, spells, and your normal village CC are used in the war attack.

I switched to the version you posted Greg and no more ads. I noticed that the newer version actually installs two apps. Removing the second app may kill the ads but I didn't try this. Removing the main Bluestacks app did not remove this second app, I had to remove it separately from add/remove programs. I'm running this on Win7 64 Pro btw.

That's the thing I was talking about. If you used the newer and then reverted back, but didn't delete the 2nd thing that Pigskin mentioned, I wonder if that is what causes the pop up thing. Might want to see if there is something else there left from previous install then.

I agree about the video card... when I run on a high end gaming laptop my graphics card goes nuts, temperature hits about 83 celsius, and sometimes it is even a big laggy. Running it on a desktop I don't notice any of that... but it hates my keyboard. At random times my Logitech gaming keyboard will either lock up and not type, or will start repeating a letter. It's the specific version of keyboard and Bluestacks, a dozen other people have reported the same issue. I was hoping I could go to a newer version of BlueStacks and it might be fixed, but don't know that I want to deal with the pop up thing. All I have to do is unplug the keyboard and plug it back in normally, but about 1 time in 30 that won't fix it and I have to reboot.
