I now have a Barb King. Can anyone point me to the post or page with BK advice. Not really sure what to do with now. Or where to place him. I'll check out the wiki but looking for fbg advice. tia

Use him like an giant except he attacks everything. One thing to remember is if you use healer or spells and he recharges his reload time is shorter. Lately I've been waiting to use him to just cleanup perimeter stuff when I am close to 50 percent on a barch. This way I don't drop too many trophies.

He cans act as an extra defender of your village, and he can also be used for attacks. He never dies, but once he takes damage, he must rest. If you want to use him on offense, put him to sleep before you log off. When asleep, he will not defend against attacks, but will be rested and ready to go for offense.Upgrading BK doesn't seem like much at first, but level 5 unlocks his super powers. Once he hits lvl 5, when attacking, he can summon a rage spell, as well as some extra barbs around him. That rage will follow with him for a period of time, and affect not only him, but any other barbs around him. I love dropping BK and about 50 barbs with him, then hitting rage. Mass destruction.

I was in a war where the opposition had level 2 witches in clan castle. Destroyed me, even when I lured them out. Starting to think a couple witches and some archers are best troops to have in clan castle.

 
It would have been cool to hit 150 but it isn't a huge deal to me. Even hitting 147 makes me chuckle. If we want to make a true push for it one time, communicating it in advance would be good, yes. But otherwise I'd agree that we want people to maximize loot for the good of all, with a preference for the low level guys to cash in the most.

I'd say in general, if high level guys mostly go for 3 stars so the lower half of the lineup can do 1 real attack and then see where we're at and cash in for loot with their 2nd, that would probably be great. There will be enough times the top half of our lineup can cash in too when we're far ahead.

And not a big deal about the DE and all. I've skipped entire wars so wasn't there to donate. Acer gave a lot of valks and someone (Gary or smlite maybe?) filled in a lot too. I was just down to my last attack and glanced at my DE and was surprised how fast it had dropped. The extra cost as unit level goes up can really bite you in the ###.

I'd rather subsidize the lower level guys like was being said earlier. g1210 did an attack yesterday (#50 I think) where other than the defender's CC troops he had to kill on his own, the war hogs in his CC raced around and could have taken down the entire base's defenses on their own. I love being able to help guys get a 3-star and the loot like that, lets me payback those times I was a TH4 and Fudd was giving us hogriders. I'm fine with the lower half of the order saving their second attack for cashing in loot if there is a good base to do it on.

 
At the end of the day, it's what we as a group feel we want to accomplish. Many pages back someone proposed starting a war just for the purpose of looting (and not really warring) and that was quickly shot down by the group. My comments were that it seemed that folks were leaning towards that way and I was just mentioning it didn't seem fair to those folks supplying all of the DE troops to begin with (if folks really weren't going in with the same goal as the rest of the folks).

As to the point that the goal of getting 150 should have been more widely communicated - isn't that already the point of what we're doing by going to war? We're trying to three star all of our opponents (and if that's not possible, doing as well as we can as high as we can or honestly, what's the point?).

I'm completely fine with whatever direction we take - I just don't want some of the higher ups shouldering that burden if we're not all on the same page (and as someone else mentioned - we're not talking about that large of a difference in the loot amounts and to be honest, most folks CC don't even have the capacity to hold all of that loot). That's all and on that note, I'll be quiet on this subject.

 
I think in the 24 hour prep time we could/should have ID'd these Japanese opponents as 150 star targets. This was certainly doable with a little more coordination. Other clans will be much tougher.

reddit claims biggest factor in matchmaking is average user level. fbg2 has lots of lower level guys so the MM there will always be a mismatch. We tend to get higher guys in fbg1. a few of the wars I don't think we could have pulled off a 150 even if we all had 3 attacks.

 
On the 150, it will depend on how strong our opposing #1 is. If we can 3-star that base early, that should be the signal to everyone that we're going for 150.

Not really. At the higher levels defense is way overpowered. We just ran into a crew with really weak th8s

 
I just tried to join but it looks like you guys are full. Probably for the better b/c i'm pretty sure i'm the worst attacker ever for having the arsenal that I do.

 
I can't join any clan. Left to go to my IRL clan, says I have to wait before I can send another request.

Tried to come back to elecboog and same thing. Almost two days now.

 
What are you guys filling you Clan Castles on defense with?

We've been filling all up with high level wizards but a well placed lightning strike takes out the majority of them. They are deadly on D if the opposition doesn't lure out and destroy - I've seen wizards take out an entire horde of war pigs.

Seen a lot of archers in opposing clan castles lately - cheap option - get a bunch of them in there but lightning does serious damage to these as well.

Valks have high HP (900+) but don't seem to hand out much damage and are ground only.

Dragons are ideal but at 36,000 each it's really expensive to put one in 40-50 clan castles.

 
Level 1 valk does 158 damage per swing and it's splash. That falls in the middle of the damage per attack of a level 3 and lev 4 wizard, but then she's got 900 health so she can absorb some hits and let the wizards in the CC with her blast away hopefully.

For lower levels the valks have been golden and responsible for single handed shutting down many attacks. People attacking our TH6 and lower TH7 frequently don't deal with CC troops before deploying their giants or barbs, and she'll devastate them and have the health to stay on her feet for awhile.

 
Yep, we've seen a valk turn a crowd of giants turn into ghosts within seconds.

Ignoramus you have "do not donate" in your request so I think people left you empty.

VA and Jason who have a request for just wizards, I stuck a barb in the extra spot. I was thinking about this earlier, wondering if having a barb instead of an archer would have the barb go close with the enemy and draw fire, giving the wizards more time to shoot before they get targeted. If you don't want them you can dump, but I bet they'll work better as a weak tank for you.

Moroder ended up with 20 space of wizards and 5 left. Not sure if you want another wiz and barbarian or archer, or want to dump them to get a valk.

Feel like a n00b, but what is honeypotting?

I'd love to find a way where myself (Mid TH7) can cash in on some extra war loot, if I've already fixed 3 stars at a decent level. It would really help out.

However, like someone pointed out, not worth it for an extra 150k of each as it's just as a fairly good regular attack.

On another note, I really hope we go to war twice a week, really feel the clan is alive around war time.

Big ups to all high levels clan buddies donating! #respect

BTW, anyone here plays Castle Clash also?

Honeypot is what we started calling attacking someone in war just for the loot. You only need 1 star to get the full loot amount, so an exposed or poorly defended Town Hall in a high level guy equals big loot bonuses.

We have one of our high levels leave his TH exposed to try to draw the other clan into wasting attacks on him for loot while the war is not decided yet. We tend to not honeypot with our attacks until we're pretty sure we're going to win the war.

Need to pay more attention to this thread so that I can get in more wars. I want those gem bonuses so I can get the extra builders. I don't really understand why we aren't warring constantly. With war bases saving it makes it pretty painless. The only thing that really needs adjusting are any wall upgrades done. Even that isn't totally necessary.

Because a lot of people donate a lot of DE troops to the masses.

 
my fleet of dragons are ready. just waiting til I can get on the ipad

this holiday weekend has been good farming if you found the time. last night I was able to get about 5mil gold in 2 hours, they were mostly collector raids

I mean I'm a weak-attacking noob riding the coattails of our top players in the wars, but these guys are just awful.

Yes they are terrible. Our initial shock and awe campaign completely demoralized them as well. Winner winner chicken dinner.

I think we can let the honeypotting begin.

 
PSA to the parent of Kittens; My and my older son are the only members left in FBG3: the minors. We will soon be bailing. I want to come back to one of the main fbg clans so I can get back into warring. My son is either going to follow me or join a rl friends clan. Either way, kittens will be the only one left...
