In the Boog when it comes to war, folks are encouraged to tackle the base they feel most comfortable in getting 3 stars. Typically that's either their corresponding base or higher.

Yep - attack the highest base you think you can 3-star.

Guys, this should be our 150. I know I can 3 star the top 2.

Three starred my counterpart and two above me (-2). I was scouting the teens, but couldn't guarantee a 3*. Their top 5 are pretty strong though. They are not weak for their level. We are no slouches either, but it will be a challenge to get 150.

I like that the castle is virtually unlureable, and it's anti-hog. The first war I was attacked with it, a TH10 threw 40 hogs at me and didn't get a single star. I don't have much to compare it with since this is my first TH9 base. But it seems fairly strong especially considering I have a lot of upgrading to do yet on my defensive buildings.

The Boog - 142 144 on 72 73 attacks

The Non-Boog - 76 on 60 attacks

Of the 8 6 stars still left to get, 5 3 are spread on their 2, 3, 4 (which we're unlikely able to get any), but the other 3 are on 32, 36, 39 (which we've very likely to do).

Could end up at 145 147 this match.

Edit - right after that, MrSankey took it to their #2 and got 2 of 3 stars from her.

Looks like we're finishing with 146. 150 is so tough because those top bases are so tough to 3 star in general.

If your normal village is attacked, any troop from your CC that emerges and is killed while defending is lost. Any troop that emerges and defends but survives, returns to the CC and will continue defending you in future attacks until killed. Or until you deploy them in your own attack. So yes a dragon will die, but like any other troop, only dies if it's actually killed during the defense.

War base CC is different, the troops there respawn fully after each attack since we only get 1 chance to stock it.

I'm convinced there is some sort of formula for how it puts you in a rotation for people to attack you. I didn't have a shield for 5 hours and wasn't attacked once. Then I was suddenly attacked 5 times in a 4 minute period. That sort of thing has happened quite a few times to me.
