lol, champs fever has caught on. even ron made the push and when he got there he couldn't even fit the gems in his gem stockpile.

It's hard to say with certainty, but in chat Culd congratulated AZ on making champs and the gems. AZ replied "I couldn't collect them yet...it says I'm full". (or something like that).

If AZ was joking, he didn't let on that he was. Only he would know!

Sorry for the Honda if this has already been done , but...

Turns out quake does work on THs if they're under 20%. Could be useful late in a raid if you're running out of time, or with a dragon rush to get through the TH and to a last AD or the like quicker.

ETA: hard to judge exactly how much damage it did, but definitely over 500hp.

I just counted the hits my archer had and the L1 EQ did 640-680 damage.

Could be used to kill off an AD that just got missed by a dragon. Or finish off a TH to get the last star. Or finish off a TH to get through core quicker. Basically it does a crap ton of damage if building is already hit hard. Plus some additional damage to surrounding stuff. Worth thinking about IMO. Especially as Dragon + Skull seems to be the default CC now and one more second of damage from 2 or 3 wizards = poison spell.

Yeah at TH10 you basically have to keep one builder free to dump gold/elixir unto walls with the boost.

I haven't been raiding a whole lot and am having to build a lot of lavas just to free space.

 
For the first time ever, I passed on hitting a burned out TH10. Only 150/150/700 loot available. Odd to see one that low, probably active but just not refilling infernos and xbows to save elixer and DE.

 
So enough are hanging out in Quattro to put up some 15v15, but several have made comments about moving on to FBGs or Honda when their schedule clears up or something.

I've been pretty terrible lately and am wary of affecting war match-ups that much by adding a TH10. Maybe if I get better this week.

I'm completely serious about this: in Honda - if you're trying - nobody cares how good you are or how much you affect the matchup.

Didn't find anything online that seemed relevant (mostly device specific stuff without a good solution). Help?

Definitely my best war ever, but filling CCs with loons and valks is not a good idea against a clan thats good with air attacks. Made it pretty easy-mode.

There are now people just clowning clover bases out there. Absolutely no reason at all to have TH10 hitting clover anymore. Jakes last several videos have people just crushing that base. One of his videos has someone do it with no heroes and no freeze at all. All of them are the same

6 golems or 7 15 wiz

4 jumps

Jump the two corners furthest from queen jump to core let 2 golems out each corner two up the gut with jump or wbs leading in. 4 wiz behind each pair of golems. 2 wiz for cleanup flanking as the golems walk the sides. Easy easy (if not expensive) 2 star.

For defensive purposes it's still a good base if we are facing a ####ty clan. For any good clan the book is out on this base and it's just as dead as any common internet base that came before it.

Probably better to just try new bases out against ####ty clans too and get them more refined for when we actually see good clans.

As to the topic of 50 vs 45 vs 40 vs 35 I went back through our war log

Now there are some serious sample size problems here. Only 2 45v45 wars show up and 2 50v50 show up. Each category had a farm war I threw out.

We have a half dozen 35s and the rest are all 40s.

At basically 40, 45, and 50 the stars per person against us is 2.02 at basically all levels.

At 35 though the stars against us was 2.36 per war. That's a pretty damn big jump imo.

For the time being if you are in fbgs you are in no matter how you are opted. We'll see how this goes for a bit.

thanks, just saw this post, I had been having issues for a few days, or since that last update for the boost. yesterday i installed google+ and turned off sync and that seemed to fix it yesterday. the link you provided is blocked for me from work right now, i'll check it out if it's not working again when i get home tonight. maybe i accidentally got it right.

It's pretty widely reported that farm war clans tend to be at or near 50 at all times. There's really not generally a heavy bar to get over for a farm clan except donations maybe?

The lower you drop the more likely you are to run into a war clan with a feeder structure that keeps heroes up and has a kick policy and good bases.

We did run into a fair amount of farm clans at 40 though. But at 50 I think we will see people more like us. You can't really count on 50 people keeping heroes up so there's a little bit of don't give a #### in those clans. Then participation comes into play, who did they have to go get to make 50 and so on.

I think 30 35 tend to be the numbers where you bump into the monsters that have feeders, keep heroes up and are super serious. Most of the high end war clans operate at or near those numbers at all times.

Shuke got into a war with a reddit clan. Reddit epsilon. They were god awful.

I think the reddit clan family had turned into a shell of itself.

The theory is the ones that were good modded and the ones that modded got kicked out or left due to the oversight and now the ones that left blow.

Great timing on the farm wars this week with the boost. Loot is so good I don't want to have to take so much time to build a couple of serious war attacks.

I've run loonian from Crystal to Champs but with the addition of the second blower loonian attacks aren't nearly as lucrative as they used to be.
Lucrative in what manner?

With L3 haste I don't even look for the blowers anymore. As soon as I see a puff I just drop a haste where it would speed crap up.

This week averaging about 5000 a raid for DE with bonus. Hitting a few for nearly 7000 here and there.

I think you have two options for DE farming

  • Active - Farm low masters with giants/barch and get lots of snipes and occasional core dive
  • Inactive - Champs loonian with full spell decks
Second tier options include

  • Silver/gold if you are looking for big elixer/gold scores and DE is a concern, but not the top concern perhaps. Gibarch or dragloon works fine to trash these bases. If new TH9 this is THE spot to be imo.
  • Low crystal for superqueen
 
Another super trendy option that you see on SC forums is 4 quakes poison and rage with about 200 goblins and some furs. This would be best in silver/gold where you don't care about bonus.

I haven't tried using haste yet. With two blowers active and well placed you basically need to use spells on anything that's not a collector raid, which eats into returns.
