Yeah any reason we couldn't scatter it so it goes FBG1/FBG2/FBG1? Just speaking for myself as a new TH8, I'm still gobbling up elixir for some things, so having consecutive days of donating/dragon building might make things tight sometimes.I'm not a fan of FBG1 going back to back like that I guess. I assume that is to reduce the amount of clan switching for those that want to do 3 wars? I'll survive

Tips on using (level 1) hogs? What are they good to combo with? Better for war and not regular raiding?

Same bhote. I've tried them but without a steady supply of DE, you can blow through some quick.
Norville, I usually only use 3-5 in conjunction with giants. Usually try to let the giants get through first walls before I let the hogs go but they don't have a lot of stamina so you need to have a few of the big guys out front running interference.

Yes. I'm an early TH8, so I'm still using large amounts of elixir for research upgrades/barracks/etc. When you factor in donating (about to get LVL 5 Wiz with dragons up next) that could be a lot of elixir in like a four day period.
Obviously just using myself as an example, but same could apply to any new TH7/TH8. I know higher up elixir doesn't matter as much.
I can't think of a big reason to keep it back to back, so that's just a minor one to not do it back to back.

I don't use them much in normal raiding. In wars, I use them to knock out an AA gun for my dragon attacks.
Typically the bases I attack have three anti-air guns. I knock out out with lightning, send hogs at another (ideally one that's closer to the edge of the layout and that doesn't have a wiz tower next to it) and I drop dragons near the third one, which they will eventually get to.

I think the "not back to back" crowd has a point, albeit a bit confusing at first. Yes, no matter how you look at it, FBGS will war "back to back", but I think the schedule needs reworked to give us a day to recover.
Wars take 2 days (1 day of prep, 1 day of us beating them down). Between the 2 clans, we have 3/week. That leaves an extra day. It would be nice if FBG1 had a day in between the wars to rebuild resources.

I get that. But the other argument is that the place you want the most time is where you may have folks switching clans. Since the amount of ins and outs between the two fbg1 wars is probably going to be pretty minimal, if there is any at all, then you could conceivably hit the button shortly after war end and give more time where it's needed.

Pats, you're forgetting the schedule repeats again every week. Whether it's A A B, A A B, A A B... or whether it's A B A, A B A, A B A, you have A going back to back between each of B's wars.
3 wars will take up 6 days. Right now the schedule has the remaining 24 hours split into two 12-ish hour gaps to allow time for people to move between 1 and 2.
To carve out even more time, you either have to reduce those, or we have to give up on having wars start the same days and times each week and just say "next war starts X hours after the last" and the day each starts on will gradually drift from week to week.

I have a feeling that these guys are organized. They attacked us quickly as soon as the window began, it's mostly guys from their lower half attacking first, and they are targeting us from the bottom up. They've attacked everyone between 50-34 in the first hour or so of this war.

Well, that's kind of our strategy too so it's possible they'll go for higher guys with their second attacks.Also, I may have to avoid clan wars for a while. Now that I had to start over I'm really underpowered. It may be a struggle for me to 3 star even their 49th ranked guy :(

Hold a spot for me in FBG1. I'll be returning after the current Boog war and I'll likely just stay in FBG1 after that.
I'm totally open to warring 3 times a week but if that's not the majority opinion then I'll be happy to just sit in one clan and war twice a week. I'll use the other three days to gather resources for all my th8 upgrades that will be arriving soon.

We should just start a list of those interested in warring 3 times a week.
the leftovers can move over to FBG1 (who can war 2 times a week - I don't think there were many saying only once per week here) and then disband boog or remake Boog into the 3 times a week group. Whatever works, I go all out for wars and don't care if I spend a lot of elixir. 8 dragons every attack and I'm happy to donate Valks we well as defenses

I'd be in favor of giving the existing plan a try first. We can always scrap it and do something else if it proves to not be the best option.

Offensive Strategy
- It is crucial to try to lure the Troops out of the defending Clan Castle when attacking. Players can do this by deploying a single unit within the range of the enemy’s Clan Castle. This is to prevent a situation where players are forced to fight these Troops within range of the enemy’s defenses. It’s also useful to know what type of defending Troops are in the Clan Castle before deploying the whole army (e.g. you don’t want to deploy mass Barbarians when the enemy has Balloons defending his base).
- After luring the Troops out, a player can choose to surrender the battle (if you decide these Troops put you in a disadvantageous position), ignore them (not recommended), kill them with a Lightning Spell or lure them farther away from the defensive buildings before battling them with your own Troops. Note that once deployed, Clan Castle Troops no longer have a trigger radius and will travel the entire length of the map to attack any enemy units. Use this to your advantage to draw them as far away from the defensive buildings as possible.
- An easy way of handling strong Troops (level 5 or 6) is to lure them far away from the base. Place one Giant at a far side, wait for the Troops to come close, and then deploy Archers in a circle around them; they should be taken down easily. This technique also works extremely well on Heroes.
- When weaker Troops come out of a Clan Castle, use a Lightning Spell to get rid of them.The Lightning Spell only damages defending Troops, so you may use it while the defenders have engaged your attacking Troops without fear of friendly fire.
