I'm just spitballing here, but maybe going forward, whenever a new friend of an FBG comes onboard or a new FBG kid joins, we should have a general policy of having them be in the same clan as the FBG member. It seems to make sense to me just in that I don't see the point of inviting a friend/family member in and then not even being with them anyway, but also allows the clan to more easily communicate to the non-FBGer through the FBG member.

Just a thought.

Treat it like a daycare, somewhere to drop your kids while you go do your thing, maybe you get some pushback.

He hadn't attacked in 2 wars and we got rid of a bunch of inactives with the caveat that any that became active again could simply re-request entry. We had no idea his mom had emergency heart surgery. Hoping she's OK.

Alright.His FIL passed recently and now this happened with his mom. It's been a rough month for his family. It's times like these that remind me that his game isn't serious and there are real people who have to put real life first. I think he really feels like getting kicked when he was already down. Dude, you need to relax about this game. Everything is a big deal with you. Sankey didn't attack for consecutive wars so he got booted. How were they suppose to know what was going on in his personal life. He's not banned forever, he can get back in. If you dont attack in consecutive wars you get booted, standard procedure from the beginning. Being in a clan wouldn't have benefited him anyway when he wasn't playing. You take every jab about Honda or somebody trying to recruit a member for a war personal. Just take a deep breathe and relax.

Worth mentioning for any new folks who have missed this past advice.

When upgrading your spell lab, make sure you load it up with spells appropriate for a war attack before you start the upgrade. Even when upgrading, you can still use whatever spells you already made, you just can't replace them. At least you can get in one attack with spells in the first war after the upgrade starts.

Attack Day

• After the 24 hour war day ends, the 24 hour attack period takes place during which you can launch 2 attacks against 2 different bases.
• Your attack uses your normal army camps in your normal village, your normal spells, your normal village clan castle troops (not the war ones!) and any heroes (Barbarian King, etc).
• If your Barbarian King or Archer Queen is upgrading, or still sleeping off damage, they will not be available if you make a war attack.
• If your spell lab is upgrading, it will not be available for the war. However, any spells that you had created in the lab prior to starting the upgrade can be used. But they cannot be replaced once used until the upgrade is finished.

We have what amounts to a consensus to re rack war immediately as normal. Since wars will be late and if you plan on leaving try to leave early so we can arrange a replacement that isn't some global random.

Did some math on AQ and BK to see what makes sense as a target level. For this I'm just assuming DE is free. Gathering even 140000 de doesn't seem that bad to me anymore. DE is far more enjoyable to farm than elixer as well and takes far less time to actually accomplish.

What I was looking at is where the breakeven was versus perhaps what Aiden throws down for a basic raid on a th9 today, if there even was a possible breakeven.

Now, this will be a tough comparison. Look at TH10 vs TH9 gowiwi

TH10 gets L5 golem, but that's only an additional 300HP. A BK can easily pickup those extra HP every 5 levels up. So with health a L20 BK can cancel this out. The extra DPS also overwhelms wallbreakers dps.

TH10 gets 20 extra camp slots and L6 Wizards. For arguments sake lets say they fill those 20 spots with wizards and double that again with more wizards in the tank. That bump to brown coats only gives our TH10 an additional 120-140 DPS. Seriously. every 10 ranks the queen picks that up and then some.

Witches are a draw

The main difference left imo is access to freeze spells and the simple fact that you can spread out the extra 20 spaces of wizards to get more wide destruction.

TLDR

Basically, A TH9 with max GOWIWI troops and heroes at rank 20 or higher can throw down a comparable attack to what our TH10s with mostly 10/10 heroes are putting on the ground now.

I tell you what as a clan we are going to be ####### unstoppable shortly. Pretty much our entire lineup of TH9 have been tearing through golem upgrades.

I honestly think that if you are more a big picture guy in FBG1 and sitting at TH8, now is the time to make the jump to TH9. We have enough strong attacks to hang with damn near anybody now.

We have guys going -10 or -15 for 2 stars no sweat. This was not happening 2 months ago.

I'm done. I was borderline when grinding through the end of TH8. Now only 2 weeks into TH9, I'm having less and less fun. Trying to save more than 3MM gold or elixir or more than 30K DE is more trouble than I'm willing to invest. I started yesterday morning with 3.7 MM in elixir - ignored my kids all morning to claw up to 4.4MM in elixir and this morning I'm at 2.8MM. Not the first bad beat in this game, but it's not worth stressing over.

Clan wars are/were good, but I've also found myself having too many days were I feel the need to log in by X:00 PM and I don't need that much of my life to involve Clash of Clans.

I do like these kind of games, but I hit the same plateau on Simpsons Tapped Out and I'm also very glad to be 'done' with that game too.

Their absolute max is 120. to get there they would need to use 37 attacks and they have plenty of TH9+ attacks, but they need better execution than what they are getting.

We should have no issue cracking 110.

At this point the TH8 are free to shoot at whatever they want imo. We have their th8 cleaned up as good as should be required.

No objections. I figured I would clean some lower bases this morning, but they all look done. Double checking now.

If all the bottom are cleaned, I'll try 1-star drag attacks up higher and save my spells for next war in case we need a real attack from me.

Their 5 just went +20 with all Level 4 Dragons 3 zap and 2 freeze spells. He needed to use a freeze to eek out 1 star, and he barely got it. If it was anything but a builder hut the dragon was looking at it would have been a TH10 0 star mass drag.

That sucks, I didn't realize the increase for L5 golems was less than the 500hp gain at the other levels. Though remember the gain is an extra 40% because of the golemites. So L5 is plus 300hp on the golem and then 120hp split between the two golemites.

Some of the TH10 upgrades I most want are L4 dragon and L3 lava hound to beef up war attacks. Even just being able to stock war CC with L4 dragons is nice. Boog only ever gets L3s. Mon$tar is the only one who has them and he isn't around much, not sure if he does many donations.
