Also, does anyone have any reason why we shouldn't boot Craig out before the next war search? I booted him for a FOURTH straight plus five violation mid war buy now he has snuck back in. Thoughts?

Can anyone confirm this theory?:

In the trophy ranges that approach achievement targets (1250 and crystal league), more THs are protected behind walls. This leaves fewer walls/defenses to protect storages and collectors making for easier resource raids in those trophy ranges.

For work loonian is great. If you can keep your finger off the spell button it's a 50 minute buildout. In Masters you can run +elixer if you can loot 100k of it each raid. In gold you run through elixer too fast to keep it up but you do get the occasional minion collector raid there.

I just don't have the success barching in crystal or higher some of you do. I get too pissed off when I see bases I could rape with loons but can't touch with barch also.

Thoughts on this war for FBG1

The clan we are up against have 3 super max TH10. Nearly max everything. They have another 10 strong bases. 1-15 really they are super strong. Probably the strongest top 15 we've ever seen.

Then it falls off a cliff. From 31 down it's super easy.

The key imo will be 3 starring everything from 16 down. I think a straight +5 gets us 3 on everything from 31 down and 2 on the rest of it.

But, I think our high TH9 from 8 down to 15 should be focused on 3 star from 16 to 30 for second attacks.

So lets plan on this:

First attacks

1-10 - On your own.

11 to 30 - do a straight +5 and please do it asap shock/awe style

31-45 - FCFS on anything in the 36-45 range or 1-15 range for par.

Second attacks

TH10- On your own. Make sure every TH9 is at 2 before swinging huge.

8-30 - +15 for 3 stars if not already 3. If already 3, then look to any open TH9/TH10 for par.

31-45 - Add where you can or pot/scout at will.

1) CC troops being cleared with 2 witches, a wiz, 2 barbs and a queen. This combo will clear pretty much any cc and keep all those units alive. No spells needed, no need to waste your BK. The key to pull them to an area where you will be starting your attack.

Bumping this for folks that may have missed.

This worked superbly for several of us in the last FBG1 war. I had my first two successful gowiwi attacks ever, including a near-3-star on a mid+ TH9 (ran out of time).

It's expensive but it really works, assuming you can deploy out of reach of mortars etc. and start your attack from this same side.

With regards to attacking, FBG1 has improved markedly over the last couple of weeks. Successful +1 attacks are becoming more frequent (3-star on TH9, and 2-star on TH10). And we've rarely left bases for less than par.

Yep. We have been much, much better offensively recently. It's fun again. Even the losses are closer and don't feel as outmatched.

Yeah, its fun to be in a battle too. It was a solid run back in the summer when we were 3 starring everything with dragons, but I honestly like having some pressure on attacks and watching the last 30 minutes with interest too.

You might get away with one witch since you are going up against a CC of 25 most likely.

Would be most useful for a baby gowoppy.

Sounds like a problem that a chest of gems will fix up lickety split.

I'm probably 2-3 days from hitting the TH9 button, just waiting for my BK to wake up.

The holiday low-cost boost promo is going to be ending. I think they said it lasts through Jan 7 though don't quote me on that.

In any event... if you happen to be online at night and see the notice they are shutting down for update... I would suggest boosting your barracks, DE barracks, and spell factory. You'll get the boost at the cheap 1-gem price, and when they take the game down, it will pause the boost. When it comes back up, instead of the green swirly around the building you see when boosting, it'll have an orange swirly. And if you click on the building it will have a button to resume the boost for however long it had left when they shut the game down.

I did this with the last update, the one that added cheap gold mine boosts. When it came up I had 1hr56min of boost time left on everything, and the ability to kick it off whenever I chose. I left my DE barracks with the saved up boost for several days before I finally kicked it back on again, while I used the normal barracks and spell factories before that.

Collectors not affected, they just continue making resources at the boosted rate during the downtime. I don't recall if boosted hero healing pauses or not.

Seriously. Woke up this morning with 51k. Raided multiple times for 1800. Got as low as 45k.

Not sure where you're hanging out but I do great in getting TH snipes at gold 1 and 2. I'm sitting on 90k DE and other than the occasional lightning strike my DE is pretty much left alone. One key is to carry as little gold and elixir as possible. Much less likely to get a big attack against you if you're only rich in one resource.

Boog numbers are really low and several of us are inexperienced. Not sure it's sustainable in the teens.

FBG4 has room for 14, easily. I don't want to speak out of turn for the guys that run the clan, but I can't see why consolidating would be a bad thing.

Obviously Honda is a good option too, but last I read they are at 40 filled spots, so if you guys wanted to all stay together, that could be an issue.

Either way, whichever clan (not playing favorites, I'll probably be hopping back to FBG1 at some point), it seems like a 14 person clan is unnecessary, unless the goal is to have a small 14 person clan (or avoid warring twice a week).
