They wanted the top 2 from each side out for pots but a real war. I was in there for maybe three minutes and they were freaking out I was taking screenshots of all their bases. They said something about their war log but the sentence wasn't all in English so didn't understand what they wanted. I told them I don't know if we'll put out the TH and was typing up I'll have to get a consensus from our side but got the boot before I could finish typing.

Pretty clear which attack this clan has gravitated towards. From looking at their war log while I was in there I'd expect them to come in around 110 stars give or take a few.

Update: Arch 6, Furs, Balloon 5, Wiz 4, Drag 3, King 5, Queen 5, Min 2, Pek/Hog/Val/Gol 1, Light/Heal/Rage 4, Jump 1, Walls 7..... Been farming for 2 months starting to get an itch to drop trou and run train. Yay or nay?

Gah, you shoulda checked into this thread over the two months. Nice that you've made progress but archer 6 over wiz 5 and balloon 6 is a capital offense.
That said, not sure which clan you were kicked out of before, but the FBG4 leadership may take you in - we have several players that I'd consider a war match up liability. I don't want to speak for them though, and either way, be sure that you are:
1) Able to follow a game plan.
2) Open to reading and taking in advice either in chat or on the forum.
Developmental mis-steps and attacking mistakes are one thing, but not communicating/following the plan are bootable behaviors. That'll apply to all of the FBG clans.

Thoughts on 26? It has a ring of resources to the center so I have to take out a side before getting to the middle. Should I run a golem and both hero's and kill squad to where the Queen is and then launch from there after the defenses are taken care of?
I'm on the search for 3 star videos of that base as well. I know I have seen it something similar as a popular base

I'm sure there are tons of things I need to learn but this strat is far from foolproof. I tried it twice and both times my heroes and kill squad failed to take care of the enemy cc and heroes.

Yeah the CC witch really foiled it from what I saw. Probably needed to get the CC brought way to the corner to take out the witch asap.

IMO we don't need to throw attacks at trying to 3-star the TH9's. we have enough successful 3-stars already; we just need to get the 2nd on the few that have only 1.
We can get 8 stars in their TH10. According to cul's math we would be in the clear if we accomplish both of these objectives.

I will have lvl 3 golems in a few days and then plan to shoot for lvl 4. I'm a TH9 and haven't had much success with lavalooning, so I'm willing to start goxxxxing high for some stars (or failing miserably...).

Big golems help with air attacks as luring and AQ handling. They also open up ground attacks. Its good to have as many tools as possible imho.

Both my pekka & golem are at lvl1. I still have some DE upgrades to blow through before I address them at th9, it's just not an attack I ever embraced. I hog/loon/dragon in war for the most part at th9, barch for resources. I'll upgrade them at some point to max but they are kinda like the healer to me. Not a necessary troop in my repertoire right now.EYLive said:

I dunno. Seeing the things some of our air-pro's can do with a Golem and kill squad is pretty impressive. If you are already 3 starring TH9's then, I guess you don't need them is all I'll say.
Uba can consider himself banned from honda imo after bailing in middle of war and not using any of his attacks.

5 golems or 4 and a bunch of super furs seems to be the way to get the much needed 2 stars on the opponent TH10s.
Our air raids vs TH10 have not yielded us much of anything in the way of ZOMG 3 stars yet. With max freezes on horizon, maybe so. Until then this seems to be the most easy strat to deal with TH10.

As an air guy, I've used a golem in my last four lava hound attacks. I'd second getting those upgraded to help with air raids later on. Can use them with heroes to take out AQ/cc and as a distraction to get 3 or 4 hogs to an AA. My pekka is at level 2 and I have no future plans to upgrade that again at the moment.Sputnikv8 said:

I think this last war proves more than ever that Golems backed with any combination of wiz/witch is a 2 star strategy at best. It took them by my count 30 gowoppy attacks to get a single 3 star and it was a luckbox 3 star on a base with weak-ish walls. (Scott)

Hogs should be for those of us with functioning heroes and Hounds saved for those without. The ones where they won't work, we can mix it up a bit, but those bases are very rare.

Sometimes just getting one would be monumental. Throw everything at the th and pray. This worked ultimately vs. moredoor today as a TH9 raid.

I 2 starred a TH10 with a gowipe last war and I dont even have my golems upgraded beyond level 2.
It really just depends on the base. If you can use a jump spell in a position that gets your pekka to the TH interior, you should be able to 2 star no problem

I think I'm going to go try and learn how to be good at this game in a random clan somewhere. I'm not improving (actually getting worse) and feel bad experimenting and sucking in a FBG clan, particularly when I'm the #2 ranked war player. After the next Quattro war I'm going to find a random clan and screw them over for awhile.

Come on over to fbg1. You'll fall into about #15 and can learn with the rest of us. You'll have a lot of people right around your level to bounce ideas off/learn from instead of being on an island.

I don't think there's a need for that. There's a lot of pressure on you being at the top of the rankings, but you've had some rough matches lately.
IMO, watching those OneHive videos and other YouTube videos of different types of attacks is far better for improving war performance than just trying to figure it out on your own.
And remember, Quattro is Serious Business, but as long as guys are actively trying and communicating, it's all good. Frankly, I normally learn as much from watching guys above me fail than I do watching an easy win.
