What is the general consensus now on when you move war loot out of cc storage?
Was thinking about this the other day. If your stores are already above the max that can be stolen ( gold/elixir 12% of 2.9M, DE 5% of 50K at TH9), then you're better off emptying your CC loot. I'm not sure where the break even point is for emptying them though. Need a math nerd to figure that out.

 
The sheer amount of snipes I'm getting lately defies belief. I think finally everyone has gotten the memo on the th out protocol.

I worry SC will nerf it.

 
You should all stop by Honda. We just had an all time Hall of Shame attack put on us. The #3 attacked our #2 with a full on GoWiPe army complete with 4 spells. He dropped the entire army only leaving behind 3 Barbs.

Max gowipe trying to exploit a internal drop point. Dropped his units, then when 75% dead decided to drop his spells (rage, freeze, jump, and rage).

Max gowipe trying to exploit a internal drop point. Dropped his units, then when 75% dead decided to drop his spells (rage, freeze, jump, and rage).
Their 2 our 3(tripitup), lasted all of 58 seconds.

 
It was 1 max Gol, a lvl3 gol, 2 lvl3 Pekka, 5max hogs, 10 Furs, 18 max wiz a lvl 10/11 BK and AQ plus the spells.

It was an Epic Epic fail.

The freeze at the end with next to nothing left was a special moment.

if you want to see a fully setup clash.tools war just join up and req our clan. it's no issue to have a spectator in a clash.tools clan. You can even see some of my glorious clipart.

 
I put in a ticket on clash tools for lomax's idea. It's going to be added to the next revision. Basically if you set two bases for people they would pop up as 1st/2nd in the numerical order, not as the 1st/2nd attack.

I actually gave lomax a harder base for his 2nd raid (because he's a monster) and caused some ???

I really only did 2nd assignments early just to see how the system worked. it's more a suggestion than a mandate btw. This is more just for me to get the feel of it and see if it has long term value.

I can drop in 2 Furs by the West Cannon. It seems there is a hole there to exploit. This should trigger the CC and possibly any DGBS lurking there. Then I can lure the CC to where the exposed AQ is sitting? Should I just use a K/S CC and my BK to take care of this?
Fur + 3 hogs for the 10 cannon which gets your lure and leftover hogs clear the DBB spot. Couple barbs in the hole to see what's there. Minion at 12 gold mine to get the CC up there. Drop BK right on AQ and take her out. CC will go for him, drop KS and AQ in behind. Hero's and leftover KS will go into open area at 3 to take out those D. If it doesn't look like they'll get those D, use a 3-4 hogs (no heal).Single hog at 12 cannon to check for outside bomb. Then let them all go in a single drop. :profit:

And don't worry, I'll wait and pick up the final 1% after.

I raid with 1 x golem, 8 x giants, 2 x healers, WB's, and then barch and a few wiz. The healers are awesome. If the AD's are centered, I release the healers right a way and they get the golem/giants closer to the middle before they die. If the AD's are closer to the edge, I take them out first, then drop the healers.

Bumping this:

They have dramatically altered the gameplay in tons of ways here. And I don't think they thought it through.

  • They will absolutely lose people that rely on TH sniping at high levels. (ptts, but it's alot of people) And really this goes both ways. The people that set TH to get the cheap snipe and those that use it for loot.
...(snip) without those TH7 and TH8 who make a living in Master's by sniping for the loot bonus, that should result in more snipe opportunities for me.
The effect on the economy will be dramatic though. That's a ton of loot that is pulled out of the system that has nowhere to trickle down to.

Edit: actually, no, the number of snipes wouldn't change, so the loot injected into the economy wouldn't change. What changes is perhaps that more of it goes to TH10 and less to TH7. Which shouldn't really matter (to those of us TH10 in master's)
If I had endless hours to stay online, I'd be sniping TH all day. No better ROI I have found. Deploying little more than my heroes, during multiple ~30 minute sessions I've been able to next and hit ~5 snipes and 1-2 exposed DE storage /collectors. Walk away with 600-800 g/e and 6-8k DE in 30 minutes, while expending almost nothing.
shortly after I made that post, the snipes dried up, which coincided with that xmod development you reported.

Since then, it seems (like everything else) the snipe opportunities are really streaky. I can get a couple of them in Champs on one session, then go others without seeing any at all. It reinforces my belief that there are islands (servers, whatever) -- if you happen to be on an island with few xmodders (or legit TH snipers) then you will get ample snipes. Now when I log on and find a couple of early snipes, if I can afford the time, I'll 'next' in between builds looking for more snipes. If there are no snipes early (say in the first 30 or so), I decide nexting for them is probably negative ROI and won't bother.

 
I've been in loot heaven since pushing into masters. In an hour I'll get in 3 raids and about 15 snipes during my build time. Not the greatest for gold because of all the nexting but I'm swimming in DE and Elixir.

 
Something interesting about having healers in your defensive war CC: they won't target buildings directly, but their splash heal will heal surrounding buildings.

 
Before I dropped from Masters 2, I wasn't seeing any snipes at all since the new xmod.

Hearing Cliffy go on and on about how many he's getting in Masters has been making me envious. I think he's probably on a Canadian server where nobody cheats though.

 
Haven't raided much in past two days, but I'm serious when I say I went from Crystal 2 to Masters 2 on virtually nothing but snipes in 24 hours. It can be streaky, i sort of buy the idea that if you end up on a server with no asian modders you can just clean out the snipes. The timeframe I did it was weekend afternoon while watching the us open so they were probably all in bed.

I actually sniped the same guy twice at one point

or he raided and logged off, like most people do with exposed th.

 
Some requests for general guidelines on non-inferno warbases. So here's my thoughts as of today 6/21 at 12:16pmCST (subject to change)

A Level 1 Warbase has:

  • Queen that requires a jump to engage.
No other factor in a TH9 war base is more important than this. 95% of TH9 will not be able to 3 star you with a buried queen. Making them burn a jump to get your queen makes deployment and other factors difficult as now you got them down to 3 spells.

A Level 2 Warbase has the following features between the queen and the closest entry point that would require the jump

  • No giant bombs or air bombs
  • No imperfect junctions that open up 2 compartments with wbs
  • Difficult to execute WBs which requires smart placement of wiz towers, mortars, and spring/small bomb placement
  • Difficult to lure cc
  • A town hall and storages shaded to protect the queen
A Level 3 warbase has the following bonus features

  • Air defense towers (AT/WT/AA/Teslas) are placed where a loon cannot get to them first, they must travel over a mortar/cannon as much as is practical.
  • Seeking air bombs paired and placed on anti air in the area where you do not expect the queen kill to come from
  • Air sweeper pointed towards where your seeking air bombs are.
  • Red air bombs placed randomly where they do not overlap eachother
  • 2 or more double giant bomb possible locations

The clan we are facing is following this blueprint extremely well.

They've taken the extra step for where the queen is a little shaded to the edge of using CC dragons or CC skulls which is causing further issues.

As a result we have exactly 1, one TH9 on TH9 3 star.

Might just be getting lucky. I've been able to rip my heroes up so quick because of it. Tempted to push BK to 20 right away if I can get to champions and get those gems instead of doing DE labs.

Isn't the way we should manage every war till the sun burns out or they make a TH11? I only rank the 4 players here this way based on hero level, not on skill btw.

It doesn't have to be 50, to be neat. Mr. Negative.
