Clay Matthews III (1 Viewer)

Matthews was all over the place today in the Pack/Det game. He is obviously still a raw looking talent but nice to see him flash some potential today. His better plays came early in the game and not in garbage time.

He's already had more big plays in his career than A.J. Hawk.

Each week Mathews looks to be reacting more and thinking less. In the Packers 3-4 defense it's difficult to tell if he'll develop into a consistent pass rusher or big play guy. The early results are positive but I wouldn't go dropping an established vet to get him just yet.

Is that true for all Ohio State players?

Yeah, Greg Oden just can't stay healthy. ;)

 Matthews is a becoming a stud in big play leagues. Lots of production the past month plus. Big game yesterday (5-2-2) and had another sack, forced fumble and fumble recovery taken away from him by replay on a questionable call that rothlisberger's arm was going forward.

No doubt. He's a high motor guy that seems to will himself into making at least one big play every game. He doesn't appear to be hitting any rookie wall and his speed around the edge has been consistent.

Where was he in the 2nd half. Geez special teams is not where he should be playing. They often used Poppinga and Chillar instead of him.
