I don't think that the loss of Barnett affects Matthew's value either way. He was a 3-down LB already.

I'm a 'Skins fan and I'll state flatly that Matthews' absence was easily the difference between a Packers win and a Packers loss. Matthews was completely dominating in the pass rush seemingly single handedly preventing the 'Skins from getting anything going on offense.LargeMouthBass

Guys like Matthews are high rish/high reward type players.
He may get 3,4 tackles per game all season so unless he has a big sack day he won't do much for you.
I like to mix up my line up with "big play" guys like Matthews and reliable weekly "tackle guys" like Mayo, Lewis, Lofton, etc.

He hasn't put up more than 6.5 points since week 2. I'm just getting frustrated. I guess I'll just drop him after the Cowboys game...
