ATL’s secondary is one to target for streaming QBs. 

Tough catch drop in the end zone by a WR I missed, followed by a not as tough catch drop by Hooper, but woulda been short anyway. 

 
Pitts just moved up to the third round. It wasn't a long gain but it gave you a visual of what he can do. I'm not taking him there but that was his "Ameer Abdula moment". I literally just turned the game on and saw him running and thought "That must be Pitts".

Yeah, and he did it with pre-snap motion out wide. just like literally everyone said they were going to do with him. Shaking off defenders arm tackles as he galloped.

@Sigmund Bloom has been on Pitts all preseason, I believe. 

If they’re stuff like that 10-14x a game & Pitts is going to win leagues for a lot of folks.

Bear in mind that while impressive, ATL’a secondary is approaching legendarily terrible status.

anti-Pitts is maybe a bit harsh, but we've seen a boatload of TEs come along over the decades now, and last one to go over 1k yards was Ditka, 1961. Last one to come close , Shockey. and Engram.

Tony Gonzalez sucked as a rookie, split time with Ted Popson. Vernon Davis was supposed to be the best thing since slices bread.he wasn't. Johnny Mitchell was supposed to be all-world.he wasn't. Winslow, Jr was going to re-invent the position, remember? 

there are FAR more examples of rookie TE fecklessness than that are examples of them flourishing . why are we ignoring the history here? Atl doesn't have weapons on offense to keep Pitts from being doubled. they won't be able to run the ball, they have one of the worst o-lines in the league. Can Ridley become a true #1? doubtful. Gage is all you have on the other end? meh. not interested at all.

Oh yeah I'm with you. Sig's love for Pitts is really what opened my eyes to him early on. Any time Sig is that passionate about a guy it's hard not to take notice. Historical data be damned.
