OOF. I take back everything I said about the PDW. Once I unlocked some attachments, got through it pretty easily. Vector was a snap as well. This Chicom...wow. What a POS. Hope to unlock select fire?

I still think the PDW is a POS. Pretty weak in close range battles but too much recoil to hit ppl accurately long range. Did not enjoy any moment of levelling it up but, that being said, I'm completely done now so I never have to use it again. Agree the Vector is sick though and a breeze. I'm on the Chicom now...contemplating doing the whole thing in Hardcore to reduce the burst fire frustration.BTW played on PS3 the other day and every single game was horribly, unplayably laggy, whether I was playing with Pollards et al or by myself. My NAT is moderate though so that might be the issue. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

The "burst fire frustration" is an understatement. Any idea if select fire even helps? Not even close to that yet.

Select fire is full-auto, so if you think that will help then the answer is yes. It's a pretty standard smg with select fire on but I believe the actual rate of fire is lower. If you have a quick trigger finger the rate of fire is really fast with burst. Eventually I got used to the burst fire and I now prefer that if I'm going to use the chicom. It's a fun one to hip fire with, very accurate.

Chicom is not a bad gun with select fire, it is usable. I wouldn't recommend it until after you get past the headshots though.

Yeah, I had the most success w/ chicom headshots by going laser sight + hip fire.

Thanks man - worked my way up to around 40 headshots by using the laser sight and RDS combo. Chicom has a pretty accurate hip fire with the laser and I found that made up for some of what I lost by it not being fully auto in close quarter combat. I still dislike the gun though...burst fire really hurts when facing more than 1 opponent.

Yep--I could see me struggling with the 150 kills with no perks/attachments, but the rest should be a piece of cake. Its got serious power full automatic.

You WILL get reported and you WILL get banned. Backing out now is your only chance. This is your warning." You'd be amazed at the number of guys that instantly back out, lol.Those are the same guys that throw C4 and detonate it immediately. No matter what I do, I can't detonate C4 immediately after throwing it like them.

Ok that makes sense now, cuz they all follow the same formula in every encouter. 1. Pump bullets with the semi auto sniper, and if you manage to dodge that;2. If you are in very close range, pull out the dual pistols and run and spray around the corner, or;3. If you are medium, pull out the C4 and chuck it around the corner, detonating in mid air.

I was wondering why I've been seeing a lot more snipers recently. I head them off by yelling "Hey You Big Jerk" after a match. I'm always amazed that none of them back out.

Have also seen a ton of snipers. Joined a game of Domination midway thru on Hijacked and the other team had pinned my team in the spawn on one side of the ship. The ENTIRE other team was nothing but snipers (partied up of course) and they were posted up on each side and in the doorway just quick scoping every time someone spawned. Was pretty annoying until I was finally able to spawn somewhere else and sneak up behind a few of them.

I broke down and ordered this even though I said I wasnt giving them any more business after letting MW2 devolve into its current state.

If anyone is still playing this when it arrives in a week Id like to join up, that is if anyone wants someone with slothlike reflexes and a pisspoor internet connection on their team.

About a week into using LMG's almost exclusively. I'm hooked.

I haven't used the MK48 as much as a I should, but the HAMR, LSAT, and LSW are all badass. For the cost of a little speed, you pretty much get an AR that you don't have to reload (at least not until you've already got a Bloodthirsty).

The real beauty is that these really are great for running and gunning.

LW/EC are nice, but not really necessary (I get annoyed using perks to just to get back to even, so to speak). I prefer to roll with Suppressor and, oddly, Laser Sight. With the Laser, these things are solid in CQC. You've 75-100 rounds of room clearing mayhem. Especially, the LSW. An LMG ripping our 937 RPM is pretty awesome.

I haven't played too much with Rapid Fire on them. It's solid, but I prefer the other attachments.

People think they suck because they think you have to stay in one place with them, but you really don't. Long range isn't really where they shine anyway. It's medium range with 3 enemies.

KAP-40 for getting across the map is a must for me though.

Anyway, I highly recommend the LMGs. I have no interest in Diamond camos for the other classes, but I might give it a shot with the LMG's. Only 4 weapons and all are very solid.

Was pretty manageable after I put on the laser sight (its a great hip firing gun) but yeah, select fire makes a huge difference. I was racking up 5-6 headshots on avg per game once I got select fire. Interestly enough (only to me) I ended up finishing off the Chicom very quickly ...its actually my gun with the highest headshot per kill ratio*, at 16%.*guns with at least 20 kills total

Had the craziest few games last night. Was playing with my 11 year old, who I routinely school when we play together against the bots, or against each other. We played together in team deadmatch, the most surprising thing was that 9 of the other 10 players were all at or below our skill level (one guy went 29-1 one game, so he was obviously heads and shoulders above the other players) and the group played three games straight without any changes. We played three matches that were all between 75-73 and 75-65. I was actually the high scorer in one of the games. My son also beat me one of the games. It was crazy to be able to play the game it was meant to be played and not have to have the "don't get frustrated by the cheaters/kids with the super human reflexes" thought in the back of your head. This game would be highly addictive if I could get those games on a regular basis.

If you can retrain your brain to pull the trigger like a single shot weapon, it's actually one of the fastest firing guns in the game. There is no forced delay between bursts, so you can keep pulling the trigger and it will fire shot after shot. If your finger is fast enough, it looks just like a normal automatic weapon. Tmartn has a video up calling it the most underrated gun in the game and talks about what to equip with it and how to best utilize it.

Mimic Dual wield mode: Pressing the right trigger only will fire both weapons on the left and right hand. Hold the LT first will disable the left trigger rapid fire, this is great if you use a semi-auto rifle as the primary and Akimbo pistols as the secondary.

I've noticed players shooting duel weapons at me, only to watch the kill-cam and see they they were only shooting their riffle.####### Cheaters must die.

I know silencer hurts the range, I saw on a youtube video that it also increases recoil. Is tha true? If so that kind of goes against my intuition, I've always felt like the silencer reduced recoil. Maybe I'm just confusing recoil and the muzzle flash.

Driftor says it slightly reduces "center speed" (how fast gun returns to center from recoil) but that he couldn't produce test results demonstrating it.

Silencer weakens the gun too...

Just the damage over range---You won't/ shouldnt see the difference unless you use it like an AR
