Is it just me, or are huge killstreaks like choppers and dogs not very common in this game? I almost never see anything higher than a stealth chopper in battles, unless someone gets something from a care package.I kinda like it.

I don't agree with that at all, but I really don't see that as the reason.In KC, the reason is pretty clear. Getting scorestreaks requires collecting tags, which increases the chance of dying. I assume the same is true for objective games.For TDM, they just requires more kills than previous games (Dogs were 11 kills in BLOPS, 1700 pts. in BLOPS2, for example). Though, that doesn't factor in stacking KS's that weren't a part of BLOPS.

Probably getting COD at some point.

Is there a place for newbies to compete v. each other? I signed on and played a quick match and the poor sucker that team up with me...well lets just say, I am glad I couldnt hear him. I am Loosecroo.

I don't know about Battlefield, but BO2 gives you the option to play against bots. That would at least be a good way to learn the maps and familiarize yourself with gameplay without getting wrecked.

It's just a fact of life that you're going to be terrible when you first start playing any online game. The good news is that if you're playing public matches, most of the people on your team are mentally handicapped and/or just doing their own thing with no regard for the objectives, so you're not ruining anything for them.

Scorestreaks are better than killstreaks imo. I don't think it has any effect on people not being able to get rewards. I seem to get my SS rewards as often as I got my KS rewards in Blops. At least 1 Stealth Chopper every other game in the last few days.

It requires people to play in a manner that helps the team instead of personal stats. If anything it makes the game more balanced.

My son does all the heavy lifting to upgrade us, but I may be the worst ever.

Prestiged last night, found out I really dislike the default classes. If I like a gun then I will hate the perks. After running the MDW, the EVO sucks because it goes through the ammo so quickly. I felt like I had to reload after every fire fight and died while in the process.

Any other SMG or Assault rifles anyone uses on a regular basis? I unlocked the select fire on the FAL and that was nice, but found myself losing close in battles because the fire rate is still much lower so switched to the MDW (are those the correct initials?) and love the large magazine but it seems to take quite a few bullets to kill....especially the knife monkeys that seem to be able to run right at me through the bullets.

One huge difference to me from BLOPS1 is that I don't need scavenger in this one, I have really only ran out of ammo a few times and just picked up a gun at that point. In BLOPS1 it was a must have perk for me. Same for ghost, I just don't use it as much...but I have only run that for a little bit. I have always been one to shoot down UAVs and other air support so never worried about ghost too much. What perks did you use in the first one but not this time?

I am one of those players that will go 10-20 or 15-15 several games, then go 25-8 and then the next game go back to 14-14. This is one reason I make sure to take out air support, etc for my team so at least I am helping in that regard even if my K/D is sucking that particular game.Frustrating at times, but still like the game. I have had a lot of lag the last couple of days, I really hate that the best I can get is a slow DSL (uverse supposedly on the way) and there were a couple of lobbies I wouldn't have stayed more than 1 game if I wasn't in a party.

To new guys, or guys who aren't that good: play the objective. People really don't mind if your K/D is not spectacular if you are playing the objective and helping the team. You can end up with 10 kills and 25 deaths in domination, but if half of those kills were defends and you helped cap a bunch of flags, you are a BIG help to the team.

Last night I was playing domination with 2 other guys in my party. We ended up losing the game like 180 - 150. The three pubs on our team were like a combined 14 kills and 50 deaths, or something ridiculous like that. But the worst thing was they had 5 caps and 1 defend between the three of them! So none of them did anything other than cap our starting flag, and didn't do a DAMN THING to help us cap or defend the B flag. Me and the other two guys in my party had a ton of kills, caps, and defends, but it didn't matter because we were essentially playing 3 on 6 around the B flag and couldn't overcome it.

I believe Public and League have nothing to do with each other.

Just picked this game up on Friday (PS3) after being a long time BF guy. I like it a lot. Then again, I also enjoyed BF games so it makes little sense to flame one or the other; both are fun to me so no need to diminish one to enjoy the other.

- I like the matchmaking and that games generally last 10 minutes. In BF, you could get 'stuck' with a bad team and you'd be dominated for a long time.

- Gameplay is generally similar and it was easy to jump into COD without feeling lost.

- I too have games where I'll run at 25-8 and then get schooled at 6-20. Seems like it's a little to do with the connection, but I'm still feeling which guns go best with each map.

- I tried the Black Hat and engineer thing and I watched an online video to figure out how to use it. I think so far I've disabled one gun to date. I've also managed to get killed about 8 times while trying to hack some equipment to date. Maybe I should sell this game back since I don't like Black Hat.

Is there an easy place to jump into FBG games? I sent out a few invites (PSN: mrcreamjeans), but I was also wondering if there is a standard place to look to see who's online.

To use the black hat effectively I really think you need to know the maps and how to get close to a place where someone would set up a guardian/sentry and be able to hack through the walls while still staying hidden. I like black hat, but generally won't run it unless the other team is putting up a lot of sentry/guardians. I keep a class that the only difference is my lethal grenade vs the black hat and will switch in game if I need to.As far as finding people to play with, I have several on my friends list like Polards and some others and just look for them online when I log in and then jump into the lobby. At one time I tried to start a master list of PS3 IDs but haven't looked at it or updated that for a long time.

Yeah, the higher scorestreaks in this game do serious damage. I think I got 7 or 8 kills with my Stealth Chopper. I don't think many people have classes with Blind Eye equipped. So even if they have a launcher or Black Hat to kill the chopper, it can be tough to get a shot off at it.And IMO, the aerial Scorestreaks are way better than the ground ones. I do still run with the auto turret quite often, but it seems like my Guardians and Turrets get taken out rather quickly most of the time. EMP grenades, grenades, C4, Black Hat, lightning strike, you name it.

Yeah, I mentioned this up the page a bit and the fire rate and CQ losses is why I changed to an SMG. Medium range or short range if you get the drop it is great, but the bullet damage doesn't make up for the fire rate in CQs to me. And this game has a lot of corners in it.Has anyone heard anything about it they are going to nerf the shotguns? Getting one shot killed from medium range is the suck.

Yes, no.You can actually get 2 of them if you want to use 2 slots

It's fine now.The difference between a good connection match and a bad one is more drastic than in previous COD games, but for the most part, it works fine.

Those in-game bars aren't very accurate and the effects aren't so straight-forward.RDS doesn't actually make the weapon behave more "accurately", just helps the user be more accurate. Grip reduces recoil, helping the user be more accurate. So, yes they do stack, but not really on each other.

Played for a little while and had my first negative game in Blops2 only 4 games in. You're just totally helpless against a strong team with air support and nothing to counter it with.

I haven't been on Elite yet but I don't think the in game stats update every game like Blops 1. It had me at like 345 SPM but my emblem was still at prestige 1 emblem in the barracks when I was on prestige 2
