I played the knife class for a few matches to start last night. I was in the .500 range every match, but was usually near the top of the team in points since I'd get so many confirms. I didn't have scavenger or tactician unlocked when I played though, so it wasn't at full effectiveness. Playing a knife only class really makes you play pretty strategically and plan out your route of attack, even more-so than a shotgun class.I also had a couple 40+ shotgun games on Hijacked with the Remington.Of course, as always, the night ends with a game in a lobby where I can't win any gun fights and my team having no desire to sniff the objective.

Stole your idea and used it last night. Had a couple of 30 kill knife games, was a ton of fun. I used 6 perks, Ghost/LW, Tac/marathon, Scav,Cold Blooded...Scav is wasted really because I only had a Tomahawk. I'll definitely keep this class as a change of pace, made for some great laughs.

Since I usually run with hardline/blind eye and cold blooded anyway, I cleared out everything and doubled up on flash/concussion... That WAS fun! I use engineer to see/delay explode betties/claymores... backstab 'em before they even hear it go off lol...I got into dance with one sniper for about 30 sec in one of the rooms in Drone where he was trying to quickscope me and I was lunging at him... it was pretty hilarious. It felt like forever, ducking, weaving... We laughed about it at the end of the match...
 
Had fun with Worm's crew last night. Game is getting so much easier, pretty much got VSAT/EMP/Warship every game I didn't use shotguns. Even was getting VSAT with the shotty though. Fun group of guys, thx for the invite.

:hifive:You dominated a few of those games.Even big team was fun when we played it... for the most part it seams like they fixed the bad lag problems for it.
 
Elite on the Xbox is super buggy. I sent clan invites out and if you want to join you may have to join from the elite website. Zrath is having trouble joining on the console.

Clan comps start tomorrow.

Elite is free now. To get all the map packs, you have to buy what's called a Season Pass. Seems pointless to me since the discount doesn't seem to be that great, especially if you don't play zombies and a MP is all zombies stuff.Also, PS3 users are getting screwed as it's $10 more for the PS3 Season Pass AND we get the maps a month after XBox
 
Whoever said Public Games suck unless you are partied up was correct. Having the same matchmaking problems I did in the previous games now: I'm matched up with 5 randoms and maybe one has prestiged so far and seems like I am almost always facing groups of 4~6 guys partied together, with similar clan tags and multiple prestiges. Makes for some awful games. Last night I was 6-12 in the first round of playing Domination on Hijacked and I led my team. :rolleyes: Other team got multiple stealth choppers, multiple dogs, etc.

Have you checked out the mercenary playlist? No parties allowed...

They can't be in a party in mercenary. But if they all join on each other the effect is the same. Your odds of avoiding full teams is better in mercenary though. My favorite is full parties in combat training.

I will try mercenary out, thanks. Been trying some of the other game modes with better luck than others. Ground War can be nice, if you can stand the lag. Hardcore was a campfest the few times I tried it, and I felt bad playing Combat Training last night, routinely getting 20 or 30+ kills beating up on the noobs.
 
When you first start the game, you can play one mode that is just for levels 0-10, which has bots (bots only I think).

But there is another mode which is a mix of bots and players, that you can play for as long as you like. You only get 1/2 experience though. I'm not really sure what the point of it is.

 
Clan comps started today, the clan a few of us are in need to play Domination today for most Captures.

Tomorrow is KC, most confirmed kills.

Sunday is TDM, most kills.

All of these comps are for clan xp to level the clan up.

 
The one today is actually a challenge, not a competition fwiw. You earn different levels of clan XP for different tiers of captures.

You basically level the clan as a group. Which leveling a clan is just like leveling your individual self. You have clan rankings and unlocks such as(colored clan tags and special calling cards) not sure what else though as I'm still figuring this out. Seems really cool though.
 
Killstreaks

Lightning Strike - 171 earned, 248 kills (1.45 kills per) [love it]

Sentry Gun - 107 earned, 218 kills (2.04 kills per) [love it... doesn't count the amount of people it deters from an objective/flag]

Stealth Chopper - 16 earned, 50 kills (3.13 kills per) [seems low for the amount of effort required]

Hunter killer - 53 earned, 23 kills (0.43 kills per) [seriously? SERIOUSLY? These ####### things ALWAYS kill me!]

Hellstorm Missile - 31 earned, 38 kills (1.25 kills per) [i suck at these]

UAV - 838 earned, 0 kills (0.0 kills per) [slacker.]

IIRC, it's teams of 6 with 3 live players and 3 bots per team and yes, 1/2 experience. When I tried it last night, there were even some people with the prestige symbol in the lobbies. I'm guessing they like turning on the high level scorestreaks and racking up the easy kills.Only thing I really liked about it (other than how easy it was) is that the maps/game types are totally random. Can go from Kill Confirmed to Domination to Capture the Flag, etc.
 
Tried playing some Nuketown, and goodness gracious was the lag bad. Guys were skipping around all over the place. Worst I've seen it so far.

If they do it like MW3 clans, at certain levels the entire clan earns 2 hours of double XP.I saw a tweet that it's not only double xp, but double clan xp this weekend as well.
 
Sorry for not accepting any invites this weekend. My nephews were over playing all weekend......I'd given them strict instructions to only play XP games(gotta get the double XP), and to not accept any invites.
