College RB Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame (1 Viewer)

Tonight the masses get introduced to one of the top if not the top running back eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft

Jeremiyah Love. Do it all monster. #CFBPlayoff

The top NFL draft prospect in tonight's Indiana vs. Notre Dame game isn't even eligible until 2026.

Running back Jeremiyah Love is a baller. He's 6-foot, 210 pounds, and has the agility to jump over USC defenders and the power to put his pads down and run through tacklers.

He's a Round 1 talent for next year.

Jeremiyah Love’s In-Game Athleticism Score (IGA Score) has been updated to 98.8 after reaching a new max speed personal best of 21.9 mph on this 98-yard TD! #ReelSpeed

Anyone remember Jerome Heavans? He, Vegas Ferguson, and Jerome Bettis were my favorite ND running backs.

I forgot Ricky Watters.

So I'm most likely wrong but he sort of reminds me of AP.. Probably a bad take but I'm not the best at projecting College players in to the NFL.

Made me pull up some old OU footage. Not an unreasonable college comparison. Love might need to squat his way to 10 more pounds.

Jeremiyah Love’s 4 touchdowns in the first half vs Arkansas did NOT happen by accident.

Notre Dame has structured its offense to get the ball in the hands of the best RB in the country early and often.

Schemed touches. Production in the passing game. Otherworldly contact balance.

It’s a simple formula — but that is how a special player like Love has a career-high day before halftime.

Let’s break down those specific play calls on film.

Love at 5.2 YPC. Price at 6.8 YPC.

Granted 66 carries for Love and 40 for Price. Pretty big difference though. 1st Notre Dame game I’ve watched this year. Both looked really good.

Price does look good with the touches he gets but love produces on the group and he gets a decent number of receptions as well.

I watch almost every ND game and it may be an unpopular opinion, but I think Price is a better runner. Price hits the hole with decisiveness, power and speed. His long runs don't tend to be as long as Love's, but his speed is close.

Love is the better all around back due his receiving skills. Love has the long speed and an amazing ability to slip through small openings to get positive yards. My small and only real frustration with Love is that he looks for the homerun shot at times and that leads to dancing for no gain too often.

Price tends to plow ahead and get that 4-5 yard carry each time. Love is a guy who get 2yrds, 1yrd, 10 yards, 2 yards, and then hits a 30-50 yard play. I feel like the team is faced with more third and long when Love is the back vs Price.

IDK, they are both good, I watch ND no matter what, for decades. Love gets tough yards, did saturday vs USC. He plows ahead more than Price IMO for 4-5-8 yard gains, its just his highlight plays get all the attention. Cant really automatically blame the RB when he gets 2 yards, its likely the OL not creating anything, and that might be because the defense is stunting or sending extra player vs Love. Its really insane to think of the talent on that ND offense, all 5, probably 7 or 8 OL will go to NFL, 2 RB, TE, at least 1 WR, and the QB might be a top 5 pick someday.

This was going to be a positive run regardless bc of the blocking. But the burst and proximity awareness of Jeremiyah Love turns it into a 94-yard TD.

Would've been a TD in a two-hand touch game.

Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love through 8 games in 2025...

141 carries, 894 yards (6.3 YPC)
23 catches, 227 yards
140.1 scrimmage yards/game
14 total TD

Name a better player in college football. I'll wait.

As a giants fan, I hope they take him. Probably not on their radar but you have caddy in place in Skatteboo and I'm worried another alpha WR will lead to issues with Nabers. He'd be a real flash point with Dart and just a handful to defend. He's as special a runner to hit the NFL since Gibbs I'd say

I know too early to say definitively; but just for S&Gs is Love your current 1.01 in trad formats? Is he your 1.01 in SF formats? If not who is? If it's Mendoza like I'm guessing, would Love still be your 1.02 or is there another QB you'd consider ahead of him?

I think even is SF I'm torn right now between Love and Mendoza, and might have Love a touch higher. If you throw in a prime landing spot for Love it feels like it might move the needle to 75/25.

Landing spots 100%. The two QBs going to Cleveland and NYJ scare me enough to take Love first (assuming a decent spot for him). Dark Horse could be something like Dante Moore to Vegas for me.

I wondered if I needed to qualify that about the likely QB landing spots but it seems I didn't lol. I get that it isn't the be-all end-all for QB outcome, but I view that as a sliding scale based on the individual QB talent level. And none of this years QBs impress me so much it makes me say "landing spot be damned".

Love does feel like a very un-risky pick for 1.01 for where we are right now. As for projecting the rest... I'm still trying to move my 2026 picks when opportunity arises hah. Not a fire sale by any means, but dipping into some early scouting since half of my dynasty's are in rebuild and still not falling in love with a ton of what I see. Moore is interesting, but I don't love the outlets projecting him to the Browns. What a mess that could be for him. Moore, Gabriel, and Sanders... and on the Browns no less... woof.

Was thinking something similar, at the moment you have two teams that don't need a QB high at 1&2, if it stays that way then you have the Jets & Cleveland with a lot of extra draft capital to move up. Raiders could probably draft a guy too. None of those spots would leave me feeling warm and fuzzy. If Shough flames out to end the season, I wouldn't mind NO as a spot but for the moment they seem to want to see what he can do.

I've seen Jordyn Tyson mentioned as in the competition for the #1 guy in non-SF on some sites since he's the consensus top WR and will likely be drafted high but I really can't get with that over Love at this time. Especially if Tyson lands in Tennessee where he's frequently mocked. I think the hype for Love just builds for the offseason and he has a good shot to go in the top10 of the real NFL draft. If he falls past the top 10, you currently have teams just outside the top 10 like MN, Dallas, BAL, KC, Hou that probably all would heavily consider him and every one of those is probably a home run landing spot.

NFL scouts will absolutely love these pass protection reps from Jeremiyah Love. Happens every game.

Jeremiyah Love so far this season: 1,409 yards from scrimmage and 17 total touchdowns. Both rank third in the country.

Love has scores of 94, 48 and 56 yards in his last three games, the most recent one complete with this vicious spin move.
