WR Carnell Tate already at 6/159/1...still midway through 2Q vs. Minnesota.
His gliding strides eat up a ton of grass. Very skilled on double-moves. Entered the season as my WR3 and he's living up to it.

Carnell Tate might be the best route runner in the 2026 NFL Draft

Carnell Tate is off to an incredible start against Minnesota. 7 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown
Great deep threat with vertical speed and impressive ball skills. Moves well for a dude who’s 6’3”. Could end up in Round 1.

Give Carnell Tate too much cushion and he’ll stem you up and stack you.
My WR3 right now, with a first-round grade. Over 100 yards by just the second quarter this week.

Continue to be very impressed with Ohio State WR Carnell Tate, who made yet another sensational catch today and is a bona fide 1st-rounder.
Tate, at 6-2, 195 pounds, possesses rare ball skills and excellent body control to complement an advanced route tree and elite ability to track deep passes. Simply put, he’s one of my favorite players to watch every Saturday.

Carnell Tate is one of the best sideline WRs I've scouted the last few years.
Outstanding length and hand strength. And an innate feel for toe-tapping and keeping his feet on the green.
Or is he better? Have not watched them this year…Another Game where he is standing out. He is this good or it’s due to the focus on Jeremiah Smith?
He’s not better. Jeremiah might be best WR I have seen play college football.Or is he better? Have not watched them this year…Another Game where he is standing out. He is this good or it’s due to the focus on Jeremiah Smith?
I watch all their games and Tate made one of the top catches of the year in the first quarter. He’s solid, but he isn’t Jeremiah Smith.Or is he better? Have not watched them this year…Another Game where he is standing out. He is this good or it’s due to the focus on Jeremiah Smith?

This is just a “my guy is better than your two guys” throw.
Carnell Tate, man.

If you had Carnell Tate as your WR1, I wouldn’t argue

Writing up some content for my Top 100 and coming across some really eye-catching stats. One in particular: Per TruMedia, Carnell Tate has a 25.8% catch rate over expected.
His body control, hand-eye coordination, focus, play strength... all at an entirely different level.
Ian Cummings
And when Carnell Tate is also one of the best separators and vertical stem artists in the class... it's just unfair.
Always open. And when he's not open, he's still open.

I still can’t think of a comp for him, he’s unique bc he’s so silky yet his best attribute is his ball skills
Ian Cummings
My initial comp was Amani Toomer, but lately, I've been thinking that might not convey the kind of outcome Tate can have.
People I respect have posited George Pickens, and I like that one too -- especially now that Pickens is catching on in Dallas.
Jordan Reid
The end zone view of the first Carnell Tate TD vs. Wisconsin is silly good.
An outstanding catch.
