Theoretically, the doses should be taken several hours apart, allowing intestinal motility to move out whatever residual colonic debris remains. Double dosing up front won’t have the same effect, but you could move up the schedule, taking both doses during the day, and fasting longer pre-procedure.My prep was similar, but I took the whole 14 dose miralax at once. No getting up in the middle of the night was great.Prep was easy actually. 2 dulcolax pills at 4pm and then did the first 7 dose murolax at 6pm and was clear some time after 9. Went to sleep early since I had to get up around 2 for the next 7 dose lax. Probably about 5 or 6 trips to the bathroom in all and I was already awake when I needed to go. Typical sleep for me other than getting up at 430 to get my last cup of water. No issues with the procedure and they got me in 30 minutes early since they had a cancellation.
Wore this shirt to give them a little laugh. https://tinyurl.com/4dbfw74w

Wait, is this a thing? I'm starting my own prep right now, except using the prescription Suflave instead of Miralax. Otherwise, my prep is exactly as 3C's describes.
So ... if I wanted to, I could take both Suflave doses at once? Instead of one dose at 6 p.m. and the other at 2 a.m.? Honestly, with the way my body functions ... complete, um, evacuation is the least of my worries. Complete emptying should come effortlessly for me, as I'm not fighting my body's natural constitution (e.g. never, ever constipated -- in fact, all too often the opposite).
All that said, my bowel movements were clear a couple hours after the Dulcolax, before I’d taken any Miralax. Those of us with rapid gut transit are being punished by constipated folks, as the preps are designed to ensure everyone is cleaned out.
